That makes two of us.
I think it may be possible to do such a thing... Maybe not those exact people, but the idea of using an iconic Bond figure in music and mixing it with a popular artist from the newest generations time would be ideal for profit gain and notoriety for the Bond series to sell more ticket... It would be a smooth move indeed.
Bassey is a pivotal figure in Bond music, but I think like the Blofeld character, it's something best left in the past. Sincerely hope the Adele girl doesn't get the job of the Skyfall theme, it's just something I wouldn't feel comfortable about, you can say what you like, but that's how I feel about it
Maybe we can't expect something quite so good this year but if they can manage it, well...
David Arnold/Chris Cornell Song!! ...David Arnold Score!(Soundtrack)
"Truly Great"....well its one of Davids better scores!
And.... Thomas Newman is the Composer David Arnold could only dream of being, so have a little more faith!! I think you will be pleasantly surprise!! :-B
How about Buble does a Matt Monroe 'From Russia with Love' style theme...?
Hell yes! \m/
Its all cool guys, rest assured! :-B
No you weren't... Kathy Bates was!!!
Turn of phrase!!! ...And i'm sure your not!? :-B
I liked Arnold. I really hope he's back for Bond 24.
Glad I'm not alone on that one.
Are you like, an insider or somebody who has been working on the film? Because you seem pretty certain.
Are you Thomas Newman?
Problem with Buble is he has absolutely no swagger and his voice just is not that powerful in the way Frank or Dean or Matt Munro was. Those guys all had that swagger, not Buble. I don't understand what people hear in that guy. He's not a handsome guy or dapper either for a crooner (again part of the swagger). Buble=no thanks.
There's a difference between being an imitator and the real thing. All those artists conveyed the whole attitude of the music they presented. Perhaps "charisma" is a better word for you? Buble just doesn't have that charisma that these greats had and really just an imitator. He doesn't embody that whole persona.
Just a personal opinion, of course.
Adele, on the other hand, could be fantastic.

A truly epic group recognized the world over but I think any opportunity to do a Bond theme has surely passed, the 1960s would of been most appropriate and could even have replaced Tom Jones for Thunderball, but from a 21st century perspective, any chance now seems dead in the water, but even now, I'd give them a go over that Bubble kid or Adele herself, but it simply won't happen
Adele is Prego!
