I meant the Being James Bond documentary, @Fire_and_Ice_Returns.

BTW, thanks for that video :)

    Added two more videos above.

I don't think I watched Being James Bond, though I think I have it digital copy.

Edited: Just realised it's a new Documentary on Apple TV.

I don't subscribe to Apple TV though the App is available on my Fire TV in the UK, I will take a look when on days off work.

I subscribed, paid the 4.99, watched it, and then unsubscribed. The things a Bond fan does, right?

4.99 is reasonable I will just view it like renting a movie.

Yep, my reasoning as well. And it was totally worth it. Would've paid more, actually :)

FYI, the rental is free. At least in the US. Dunno outside of that.

Just noticed Being James Bond is on terrestrial TV now in the UK (ITV +1). I will watch it on ITV Hub tomorrow and see if its repeated and record it on my Freeview Recorder.

One bit in the BEING JAMES BOND doc that I thought was funny was when Michael G Wilson said Craig was the only actor that could “make the role feel more real, emotionally connected and dramatic”, and it made me think Pierce Brosnan was sneering somewhere because he so badly wanted to take his films in the direction Craig got from the start with CR.

Just watching the end of Being James Bond I missed the start and discussion on CR.

I never knew the full extent of DC's injury on SP, no wonder DC was so fed up after.

Yeah but Brosnan couldn't have played it as effectively in that manner as Craig had.

Oh for sure, and learning what he actually contributes like Vesper still wearing her clothes in the shower proves CR might have turned out as a very different film under any other actor.

Brosnan's mind was in the right direction, he fought for instance against the tsunami surfing scene from Die Another Day, but he didn't know how to make a strong point to the writers and the directors.
Craig's involvement went beyond just his performance. He would have takes on casting the female lead, the script, he brought some directors such as Sam Mendes. He had a definite take on what "his" Bond should do, and it had an effect on the entire franchise, beyond what any actor, besides Connery, had achieved.

Daniel Craig and Ruth Negga are teaming up to bring “Macbeth” back to Broadway.

Craig is returning to the Great White Way, after performances in “A Steady Rain” and “Betrayal,” to play the titular role, while Negga is making her Broadway debut as Lady Macbeth. The upcoming revival will run for a limited 15-week engagement.

The Shakespearean tragedy, one that involves malice, matrimony and murder, tells the story of one couple’s obsession with power — and their guilt after doing the unthinkable. A press release announcing the show promises “this thrilling new production will capture the passion and ferocity of Shakespeare’s most haunting text like never before.”

Sam Gold (“A Doll’s House, Part 2” and “Fun Home”) is directing the Scottish play. It is scheduled to begin performances on March 29, 2022 ahead of open night on April 28 at Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

“I am beyond thrilled to be participating in this historic season as theatre re-emerges, and to be working with two such masterful actors on one of dramatic literature’s most challenging and epic dramas,” Gold said in a statement. “I can’t wait to get started!”

Barbara Broccoli will produce the play, reuniting the veteran James Bond producer with Craig, who recently wrapped his five-film stint as the suave British secret agent in “No Time to Die.”

“Daniel is not only a great film actor but a magnificent theatre actor as well. I am thrilled that he will be supporting the return of Broadway playing this iconic role with the exquisitely talented Ruth Negga making her Broadway debut and under the expert direction of Sam Gold,” Broccoli said in a statement.

“Macbeth” will feature scenic design by Christine Jones, costume design by Suttirat Larlarb, lighting design by Jane Cox, sound design by Mikaal Sulaiman, original music by Gaelynn Lea, special effects design by Jeremy Chernick, fight direction by David Leong, casting by David Caparelliotis.

Additionally, Michael Sexton and Ayanna Thompson will serve as text consultants and Dawn-Elin Fraser will serve as vocal coach. Kevin Bertolacci will serve as production stage manager and 101 Productions, Ltd. will be the general manager.

Along with Broccoli, producers will include the Shubert Organization, Michael G. Wilson and Frederick Zollo. Patrick Daly will serve as executive producer.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Oct. 8 at 10 a.m. ET.

I was coming to post that, @Samuel001, should be a very good performance from him. When he was on Broadway with Hugh Jackman years ago, I sent him my blu-ray copy of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and he signed it for me. Might have to do something similar this time around and see how it goes.

This made me smile. I love Daniel's Bond. I do NOT know if there are spoilers in the article. I cannot read the NY Times as I refuse to subscribe to them.

Very interesting that he named GF as his favorite film. I remember reading years ago that it was FRWL.
