    Speaking for myself, I'd say the film offers next to nothing that can't be found in myriad non-Bond films. It's quite generic. And the film makes enormous changes to the novel and its characterization of Bond, none of which are improvements.

    But it's fine. And it did give us four much better movies afterward! :)

    Great thread. Fascinating rankings. NTTD seems to be a solid Craig 007 film, but not outstanding.
