Quoting saunders: If that had been me I would probably of responded to his comment with 'Well
maybe you should do your research properly then, you ignorant prick!'
Now that's a BBC news skit I'd get out of bed for.....

Nice collections Gaz and Hazard.... most impressive.

Once I finally get unpacked from my house move (four months on and still no where near done!) then I'll do some pics myself.

    Some amazing collections there....

I have the Ultimate Edition DVDs full set, CR & QoS on both DVD and BR. I'm expecting the full set to be re-issued on BR for the anniv year and will pick them up then..

I've a full set of Fleming p/bs, most of the Gardiners (still hunting for a couple - it's damn hard getting the covers you want in good nick! Although the reprints may throw me..), all the Higsons bar the last one....other odd bits like Moonraker annuals, Silverfin graphic novel, DC Radio Times covers etc....oh and full set of soundtracks.

Oh..most of the tie-in novelisations and the Bensons....

I must have a rummage one day. I'm sure I've other odds and ends tidied away....

Films: 17 UE and 3 SE (I prefer the SE editions of OHMSS and GE; I have AVTAK as well, just because I never upgraded); missing from the series are the final three Brosnan films which I will own only if I ever scrounge up enough spare coins to purchase the UE 20-film pack.

CDs: 6 sountracks (OHMSS, FYEO, TLD, LTK, CR, QOS); plus "The Best Of Bond" (title songs & more from DN-TWINE) and "The Ultimate James Bond Collection" (Prague Philharmoic plays Bond tunes) - always on the lookout for more.

Novels: All of the Ian Fleming novels in various reprinted editions, always on the lookout to collect different editions; plus SeaFire and Devil May Care - I am always on the lookout for other Gardener novels too, really any Bond book actually.

Posters: An early 90s "James Bond turns 30" promotional poster with small prints of all the Connery films, OHMSS, and TLD on it that my wife found buried behind some junk at a thrift store. Pretty cool; different. I can only assume there is another one with all of the Moore films plus LTK.

*EDIT* - I also have a pack of Bond playing cards with snapshots of MR-DAD on them. How could I forget?

    My collection is always growing....

Unless of course you have a smiley that can tilt it's head to one side, roll it's eyes, tut, stare into you with the eyes of an angry mother who is disappointed by a child and then say 'What did you get that for? What are you going to do with that?'

Because if you did, it would be spot on....

What's the matter with you all? Don't you sneak new purchases in through the front door when she's in the garden?
I thought we all did that? ;-)

That is Standard Operating Proceedure, yes (Section 48, paragraph 4 of the 'Husbands Survival Guide'). But once in a while either:

    A) Your new purchase is soooo awesome, you have to share it with someone (anyone!), even though deep down you know the outcome....

    B) Once every ten years the Wife actually remembers what you own/have been driveling about, and then hits you with a 'When did you get that??'......

:-)) I know what you mean Preacher. My wife is not much of a Bond fan, she loves Daniel Craig & his Bond films, hates Dalton (my favorite Bond) and is not particularly interested in watching any of the older Bond films - tends to just chuckle and/or roll her eyes whenever Bond comes up....

:-)) Oh yes, classic and so true. There's something inbred in us chaps that we can't help but share our own private joy with the missus.
Women on the other hand say nothing about that new pair of shoes, they just wear them and only explain themselves if we notice.

"That I'm not too familiar with" - Not a true Bond fan lol.

Wow Jagaur, thats a great collection. Same with everybody else.

I feel a little out of my depth now . I've still got most of the films on 1996 VHS (some have worn out though).

The rest I have on special edition dvd (I don't have the space to replace all my films and the video's are still good quality).

I've got most of the books par TSWLM and TB (however I have read TB), original posters for FYEO and GF, original toy cars, The Best of Bond album, The Essential James Bond, The James Bond Encyclopedia, James Bond: The Authorised Biography and a few playing cards from the 2007 dvd release of CR buried somewhere.

Not sure whether this counts as technically its not Bond memorabelia but I also have a copy of "My Word is My Bond" signed by the man himself a couple of years ago.

I did have more though including Goldeneye on N64 (a game I spent hours playing), Nightfire and Everything or Nothing. However I traded them in once completing them several times over :p

The latest addition to my collection, and for a bargain price too: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230606700866&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123. I haven't got it set up yet, but I have a space ready for it. Not strictly a Bond collectable, but my Bond Corgi icons will have a new home!

My 1:8 DB5 cabinet is now starting to fill up as well. One type, one chair and an engine so far. I will post a picture at some point.

Did them in a rush with the iphone, so sorry about quality!!!

I'll add titles and descriptions when time allows.

It's not everything- my reference books, some computer games, posters and toy cars are still boxed away; will add more at a later date.

Awesome collections Hazard and Jaguar especially. Consider me suitably in awe. Very impressive that both collections warranted well deserved media coverage.
Regarding your Bond board game Jaguar, that brings back memories. I received either that game or something similar as a young boy in the 60's at some adults company Christmas Party. The memories are very hazy. I can't even remember whose company party it was ( maybe my grandfather's or maybe even my dad's- can't remember) but anyway the children all got gifts and I got a Bond board game which I quite enjoyed playing but I remember wishing it was an Uncle board game, rather than a Bond game. I wasn't remotely familiar with either character at the time, but Uncle just seemed cooler, maybe because it was on TV, not that I watched it mind you, but I was aware of the Uncle phenom. I was still kinda young even for Uncle. The board game got tossed somewhere along the line.
Nice to know that its worth 150 buck nowadays - just like my old hockey cards- which I tossed when I became too grown-up for them- like 15 years old. Pathetic.
Lesson to be learned- you kids- do not toss your collectables under any circumstance.
My only brush with Bond media coverage is that a radio host friend once brought me on to discuss the first issue of Bond vhs's. We did a long chat segment where I waxed on about the Bond movie phenomena and the pros and cons of various films. I might have helped boost some short term local DAF vhs sales. Anyway that was a one off "expert" appearance. The host didn't look too far to find me as I was working as a sportscaster at the same station at the time. He just walked down the hall and dragged me into the studio to record the segment.

Thanks Timmer. A bit of trivia that made that particular board game collectible is that it featured Sean Connery's likeness. Apparently Connery did not sign off on his likeness being used for the game so only the first run featured his face. It was quickly replaced with a generic face in the same picture.

That's a real collectible with the Sean Connery likeness. I don't think that's the game I owned. I think I had a later version or a different game altogether. Maybe something from the late 60's. Anyway, that's an awesome collection. I'm thinking somewhere down the line, when you are very old, you might want someone to take/buy the collection and put it on public display or keep it privately. Such collections hopefully can be kept intact.

Thanks. I've been popping up in local newspapers, radio and the odd bit of tv since 1992 when part of my collection first went on show. I enjoyed the media attention moreso when I was unemployed as I didn't have to worry about getting back to work. I have a couple of radio links about somewhere but I think my stint on Central TV Live (when I find the tape) will probably remain in my vaults.

    Quoting Mark_Hazard:
Just excuse my "acting" in that last clip.
Very nice Hazard much better than my TV appearance :-D

I'm pretty embarrassed to show this, but here is a TV interview I was on in 2002. I spoke a little too positively about DAD (what am I gonna do on TV).

My friend made a DVD of it.

Me and the wife were also a little heavier back then :)
I wish I had a collection that big! All I have is the movies, including "Never Say Never Again", and a minature car of the Aston Martin Vanquish from "Die Another Day".

We all started somewhere, I've been collecting for almost 50 years. My first bits were news cuttings and my dad's three 007 Pan paperbacks, the first two real items of my own were the Lone Star (P38) James Bond Gun and Corgi's James Bond DB5.

Received recently issue 100 (the police car from CR) and 106 (the Ford Consul from DN). The cop inside the car had the crazy idea of trying to go out for walk and ended up on the back seat. I had to look for a tringle head screwdriver at the local Castorama (a french store chain for DIY amateurs and professionals). Never seen these kind of screws before. Found one (well, four heads inside a set of screwdriver heads which I know I won't be using again). Managed, with a bit of super glue, to put the wandering cop (and his seat) back into place.

Given that the collection will stop soon, I rearranged the cars (with spaces for the ones left), and then found out I had the place to put the original books (some of them will need to be replaced, maybe by the english versions), the soundtrack CDs and the DVDs. Now, I have three display cases entirely dedicated to Bond.
