Pakistan, since I finally want to see Bond having dinner in that restaurant in Karachi...
Montenegro is also fantastic. Kotor is a beautiful town. And the bay around it is lovely
I actually have no idea if Pakistan would work for the rest of the elements we want in a Bond film, but they could probably make something work. Even if there isn't a high rolling Casino in Islamabad (no idea), you could always have a fictional event/resort/hotel/whatever set-up by the bad guy for a couple of dinner jacket scenes.
Alternatively, I think he Gulf states and the ostentatious luxury you see there could be a fun background to set the more muted and classically high society Bond against. Although Dubai has also semi-recently been the location of an M:I film...
That sounds brilliant! I have been dreaming of a Bond film set in the Himalayas, and you seem to have found a story that suits it.
A return to the US might be fun, or visiting unused locales, Canada, Singapore / Malaysia and of course, Australia. But the west coast over the east. ;) But either is fine.
How has Bond not been to Moscow yet?
Or has he?
Seriously though, we've seen it a little on film, but IIRC Bond hasn't visited yet.
Wanted: some sneaky Bond night time scenes with snow and the spires lit up, heaps of espionage and detective work, strong military presence. Snow chase with Bond commandeering a snowcat.
um Goldeneye
Saint Petersburg
Yes and “Arkhangelsk”, but never Moscow. There’s more to Russia than just the one city. ;)
Yes,... Same with Turkey. It is not just Istanbul...
Don't forget the crocs and spiders!
“Strewth a vodka martini, sounds like a Sheila’s drink. Get a coldy in ya Jimmo.”

GoldenEye II: A secret third GoldenEye was built and sent into orbit, but this time the EMP target isn't London... it's the world!
One country from each continent should be visited in BOND 26:
* China: Visited only once in "Skyfall", it's time to see a chase down at The Great Wall of China.
* Greci:. Now visiting Acropolis of Athens .
* Egypt: It wouldn't hurt to return to The Great Pyramid of Giza. .
* Australia. Interesting something at The Sydney Opera House. .
* Canada. The climax of the movie should be at Niagara Falls. .
;)
The way they captured Jamaica was fantastic
I suppose it could have "been anywhere" that had a hill, but we got all this as well as the beauty of the road and location itself. What more did you want?
This is the worst kind of conjecture, but when you think of a Bond film you can usually immediatly name the main locations. I don't think Norway would come up if you asked people about the locations of NTTD, even though a large part of the action takes place there.
-America has never looked good in a Bond film. Don't go back.
-Italy is played out - give it a break.
-Canada could be interesting but the scale of the country is a problem. It takes days to drive between landmarks there, even in an Aston.
-My vote is somewhere in sub-Saharan Africa. I think South Africa or Kenya could both work: big variety of landscapes, big cities, some amount of wealth if you want a credible casino/restaurant/hotel scene. Or you could go full-pelt adventure and have it somewhere while like the DRC.
-Finally, whichever places they use, I hope that we can really get a feel for the locations again. Good establishing shots, a bit of local colour, and a bit of lingering (even just briefly) on local faces, flora, fauna, architecture, food, whatever. Especially in a COVID world where we can't travel like we used to, I'd love to see Bond include those exciting travelogue elements.
If never you've read Trevanian's The Eiger Sanction, or seen the film, I suggest both. It's been done, and very well. While you're at it, you may as well read the other Trevanian Sanction books, too.
And it was because of that law that EON fired Boyle. He was going to do the unthinkable and film Bond 25 in Canada!
