The only other car I'd be okay with Bond showcasing in the next movie aside from an Aston Martin is a Bentley, probably a Continental GT or like sporty model since the Bentley was his original car and hobby in the novels, otherwise I never want to see him in any other car.

No matter what car they give him he will always have a few classic AM's tucked away in storage.

I must admit I find Bentleys a bit chintzy and kind of low rent (relatively- they're obviously still expensive luxury cars!). They don't have quite the style or sophistication of Aston: they're covered in quilting and chrome, even their headlamps are cut glass like crystal decanters- it's all a bit much.

I don't know, I could see Bond taking to one of these. Although, I agree with you, taking a look at the interior, it's all a bit extravagant.

This really is the only Bentley of them all I like the look of though.

Well I don't him switching to Bentley or a Lotus again but never non British brand like BMW

I do find the new Lotus quite sexy, but it’s probably not expensive enough for him :D

I do like him to stick with a new Aston Martin if so

I’ve said in the DB5 thread that I’d like to see Bond drive a DB11 and am surprised it hasn’t popped up yet in one of the films.

Also, Bond driving a brand new Lotus Esprit would be a nice nod to TSWLM and FYEO.
    Nice, nice car.

The DB11 is already six years old though, I think it's likely to be something newer.

And the Esprit was never made. Personally I think the Emira is looking really cool, but it's perhaps not top-of-the-line enough for Bond

I had to look up that Noble m600. Looks nice, but I'd never heard of it. And I doubt that the maker has the financial clout to provide one (or rather, several) to be wasted in the next Bond film. Because that's what it's about. If even BMW withdrew after three movies, a small custom maker won't cut it.

Apart from the fact that those sports cars really don't make for a very convincing business vehicle for a secret agent (Brosnan's Bond should have had an off-roader both in Azerbaidjan and Iceland), my take on this is that they should re-start the franchise as a period piece true to the novels...and give Bond his original Bentley. If they keep trying to adjust Bond to modern times, he'll end up with a cargo bike instead in no time.

Bond needs a car with style. These four have none.

They could obviously be made more sleek, however the DBs have looked awfully similar over the last years, and look more like everyday cars as other brands like Tesla sell similar looking models. There is also something to be said about Aston Martin being increasingly overlooked by luxury car enthusiasts outside of the uk.

I think the Victor would have suited Craig in Skyfall, the Valhalla in Spectre and the Vulcan in NTTD.

Quite frankly, first thing I wondered when seeing the Victor was if it was a cheaply souped-up Ford Mustang. Tacky and tasteless.

I think Mendes and Fukanaga forcing the DB5 into their films was tacky and tasteless. At least Campbell made it fit with the rest.

I do agree bringing back the DB5 (in whatever incarnation) felt forced 30-years+ after Thunderball - even in the Campbell films. Especially since it wasn't BMT216A after that. But I do remember moviegoers being elated when Brozza drove BMT214A in GoldenEye, and when Craig's Bond (a new incarnation of Bond himself, mind you) won the (left-hand steering, with what looks like a US license plate) DB5 at the casino in Nassau in CR.

And the moment in SF where Bond opens the garage and you see BMT216A, with all the original gadgets, drew active applause (something I never experienced in any other movie theater for any film whatever) both times I saw SF in late October/November 2012, in London and Hamburg. Everybody left the cinemal happy, not least due to this moment. People love nostalgia, so the film makers knew how to give it to them. The DB5 was never more successfully placed than there.

Though I also do agree they needn't have continued with this until NTTD. But still better than putting Bond in any other car that makes no sense to the story, such as the BMW Z3 in GE or the Z8 in TWINE, or the later DB-somethings only destined for destruction, or any of the non-descript aesthetic atrocities that you are suggesting just because they claim to be Aston Martins. Just my two cents.

The use of Aston Martins has been a win-win situation for EON and AM. An Aston Martin will be back, but I think the next movie could take a break from hero-cars. Let Bond drive what is available, maybe wreck a Land Rover along the way. Jaguar SUVs are so boring these days, they should not even be featured in a Bond film.

I’m a car fan, but NTTD had so many featured hero cars (four Aston Martins!) that I wouldn’t mind a little rest next time.

The Valhalla WAS in NTTD. Driven by the then-007.
Personally, I miss the proper GT cars. Aston are on their way to become just one more hypercar factory. They used to build proper GT's with the addition of style and class, hence fitting Bond perfectly. Alas, they're going the wrong way.
I love that Victor though, but it's a one-off sold to a rich Belgian.

The only brand that I can think off that now suits the bill is Alfa Romeo, but the Giulia is too old, the Tonale too cheap.

Ultimately, Valhalla was reduced to a background prop in Q's wind tunnel, replacing the glider.

Let's get a film where he doesn't drive a car at all, like in YOLT.

Any of those could work for me when packed full of gadgets.

Where it favors a Ford Mustang, I note with the Victor they're recalling the 80s V8 Volante.

I liked the Maserati Quattroporte IV in NTTD.

You can still achieve classy without futuristic spaceships or iconic classics.

And if the rest of the vehicles are older or more down to Earth, the db11/dbs (or any other hero car) becomes more poignant.

Bond drove a newer Mustang in one of the comics. Complete with mini mines, I might add. This was before NTTD too.

For Bond 26, my preferences is no DB5. It has appeared in eight films with three different Bonds. If each Bond is supposed to have his own history unrelated to previous Bonds, the DB5 has always seemed to be a callback. However, I did like the way it was introduced in CR. As for PB, he just seemed to have it without explanation. If Bond 26 is to feature a new, younger Bond, then the DB5 doesn't seem necessary. But if it were to reappear, what would be a unique way to re-introduce it?

Do you recall which one was that @QBranch?

My memory stops at the DC Batman: White Knight #2 crossover with the Aston Martin V8 Volante.

Mate, I believe it was Hammerhead, about half way through the story. Bond collects it from a Univex warehouse at an airport, from memory.

Edit: Actually the mines were in the DB10 from Black Box, but still predates NTTD by 2 years.

Thanks for that callout @QBranch. There is definitely the Bond relationship with the Ford Mustang from 1964 and after. And of course it makes sense to take one on during a mission.

Interesting to me I will search out that media at long last.

    James Bond 007: Hammerhead
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Bond_007:_Hammerhead
Arriving at the Yemeni airport, Bond acquires a facilitated MI-6 vehicle by the Q-Branch, a gadget-laden Ford Mustang sports car, and drives to the location he tracked the source of the late gunmen down, kills the remaining members of the team, only to find out that their current involvement in the case was to deliver the smuggled goods to Karim Malfakhar. He contacts Bill Tanner to inform him of the grasp he has on the case, who tells him in return that Kraken isn't targeting the warheads but stealing them. Suddenly, Bond's car eliminates the connection with Tanner and enables the auto-pilot mode on its own, making several attempts to kill him. Bond, however, manages to manipulate the car into taking a leap over the edge of a cliff which falls into its own destruction. Among the remains of the vehicle, Bond finds the computer software microchip inserted into the source and identifies it as a product of Hunt Engineering, knowing that Kraken has been keeping an eye on him. Soon thereafter, in the middle of the Yemeni desert, Bond is captured and tranquilized by a group of mobsters led by a man who introduces himself as Malfakhar, the aforementioned smuggler.
