    I'd rather have neither and an original story driven game not aimed at bringing me something ive already seen. i fear 007 legends will just rehash storys. goldeneyes plot becomes somewhat a mess during its retelling.
    all ive been saying is i am going to wait this one out maybe pick legends up closer to the time i know what next years bond will be instead of giving into activision

    Either way, you'll be "giving in" if you purchase it new, and it will make money, anyway. I'm just not liking how it is shaping up to be, and will pass on it if it looks like another GE Reloaded.

    Some parts of the story are in different order in the game, some characters die, some are not in the game, and Travelyan's plot is utter trash.

    I want Tomorrow Never Dies to be made into a 1st person game using GoldenEye 64's engine. Rare was originally supposed to make Tomorrow Never Dies but made Perfect Dark instead. (I loved perfect dark, but the Idea of Tomorrow Never Dies being made by Rare. ) O:-)

    but xenia isnt even attached to the russian army, orimove already has the emp hardened helicopter, how the hell did 006 and orimov plot together, there is no ten year gap[ to makejanius achievements realistic, now valintines dead yet we are getting other bond stories redone with classic characters, so unless the twine story is done and proves valintine did not die.
    wait who cares, untill this engines scrapped and original contents produceds. im going to ignore legends till i know what next years bonds going to be like then i might pick it up cheap but im not parting full price for this time waster.

    Well, GE210 wasn't a replacement for GE, as a lot of people seem to believe, so Valentine dying in GE2010 doesn't contradict TWINE (also, I hope TWINE doesn't show up in 007 Legends, that'll be crap) in any way (and, y'know what, we were pretty sure Blofeld died in DAF, still showed up in FYEO). It's implied that Orumov and Trevelyn were working together during Trevelyn's tenure at MI6 (they couldn't keep track of Mitchel, why would Alec be any different?), and Orumov probably picked Xenia up at a strip club where he saw her strangling a man with her thighs, and said to himself, "I'll hire her as a body guard." He then promptly sh*t his pants when he found out that Trevelyn paid more for her.

    It's obvious to me that Bethesda should be producing Bond games. The level of detail fits well, character development is spot on, plot depth is excellent, and how fantastic are titles like The Elder Scrolls. So long as 007 doesn't get distracted by pointless side quests...

    dot, dot, dot, dot... what? Bethesda? I'm not entirely sure I want a Bond game where I'm let off of a boat and told to just roam free, with no overall plot except "enjoy the continent of Morrowind". A lot of people have suggested... I think it was Obsidian who developed Alpha Protocol, and as long as they actually commit 10000 people to product testing a year and half before release, I'm certain they'll make a great game.

    Bethesda are great at making big open worlds where almost everything feels real. Almost, everything. The character you control feels like a cardboard cutout sometimes, the combat in Skyrim (only Elder Scrolls I've played), is just bash R2 and block, heal or switch weapons. And Fallouts never impressed me combat wise either.

    If Bethesda could make the world and somebody else could make the characters/combat, that would be great.

    If anyone could make a dream Bond game, what would it be?

    Mine would be:
    On Her Majesty's Secret Service
    by NaughtyDog
    Set in 1969, taking directly from the movie and book.
    3rd person action / adventure.

    I'm alright with the developers branching out and adding to the story to make it playable, but it would need to keep the basic story. I trust NaughtyDog's writers, after playing the Uncharted games. I don't, however, trust Bruce Fierstein.

    Taking 6 classic films (Dr. No, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, The Spy Who Loved Me, The Living Daylights, Tomorrow Never Dies, Casino Royale), giving them each their respective cast (obvious exceptions for those who've died), not tying them together with some stupid Bourne ripoff story
    3rd Person shooter/stealth action

    lol, for me Konami is just for football soccer games, and anime games. Bond games in Konami wouldn't work, even if they're just the publisher.

    Metal Gear is neither a football/soccer game, nor an anime game. Kojima Productions knows what they're doing when it comes to stealth games, they practically created the genre.

    @ in the past, but lets just wait and see what the game is like. My biggest complaint is. Wait and bring the game out when the film does.
    They knew the film was coming out on the date given ages ago and could of changed other game dates to accomadate.

    Only, a night with Irma Bunt sounds better after seeing what's going on with 007 Legends.

    I would rather dedicate my life to loving and worshiping Rogue Agent than having a night with Irma Bunt. I don't care how much you hate 007 Legends, just what the hell is wrong with you?!

    After seeing the reviews for 007 Legends, it's time to resurrect this thread. Where should Bond go next?

    I'm still in favour of Sony taking the license and offering it up to its first-party teams. Unfortunately for some, that would make Bond a PS exclusive. The bright side is the quality that comes out of Sony's developers is very high. It doesn't really matter who takes it - they're all talented.

    After seeing the reviews for 007 Legends, it's time to resurrect this thread. Where should Bond go next?

    I'm still in favour of Sony taking the license and offering it up to its first-party teams. Unfortunately for some, that would make Bond a PS exclusive. The bright side is the quality that comes out of Sony's developers is very high. It doesn't really matter who takes it - they're all talented.

    Being a Sony fanboy (f*ck you, Halo!), I'm all for Naughty Dog, or Santa Monica taking over Bond, but at the same time, I don't feel that Bond should be a console exclusive. Hit and Misses have come from this in the past.

    GoldenEye 007 (N64) - Hit
    James Bond 007 (GB) - possible Hit
    Tomorrow Never Dies (PS1) - Big F*cking Miss
    007 Racing (PS1) - Big F*cking Miss
    GoldenEye 007 (Wii) - Hit

    Really, Bond has thrived as a multi-console series. Agent Under Fire, NightFire, Everything or Nothing, Quantum of Solace, Blood Stone, GoldenEye 007 Reloaded - these are all great games that could never have been confined to a single console (and, with the exception of Reloaded, I've played them all on multiple consoles - AUF: GCN, Xbox, PS2; NF: Xbox, PS2; EoN: Xbox, PS2; QoS: PS3, PS2; BS: X360, PS3), and should never be confined to a single console.
  • So far the Activision bond games have felt like cheap off brand knock offs of Call of Duty. We will see if 007 Legends will be any different, but I doubt it. I'm downloading it off the PSN network right now. Here's to hoping for the best!
