    "Instructed To Kill"
  • I think this goes to show it's really hard to come up with good titles...
Best I got atm is 'Dominion of Death.'

I think moving away from "death, die and kill" titles to something more creative and imaginative would be welcome, most especially after a title like NTTD. Something that points to death in a more clever and roundabout way. A title like Never Send Flowers, for example.

I never quite got ‘Win, Place or Die’. What saying is that based on?

It's a betting term, horse racing mainly.
To win - you pick the winning horse
To place - is to pick a horse to finish in the top 4 (you have more of a chance of winning something but you win less money if you do this bet)
    - Die is just cooler than saying lose I imagine.

It's relative to A View To A Kill, given the horse racing being part of the plot. That's how I've always seen it anyways

I wonder if they'll want to give Bond #7 a Fleming inspired title to get fans on board. Risico finally?

Surely Risico's gotta show up this era. Out of all the titles and chapter titles, it's the only real good one left imo. I hear it screaming for attention.

In LALD Baron Samedi is called The Man Who Cannot Die ... does that work as a title?
Or, after the Beatles tracknames, how about a spin on a Bowie title-
The Man Who Killed The World

    The Man Who Cannot Die
The Man Who Killed the World
    are excellent !

    Superb

Feels inevitable doesn’t it? I doubt they’ll stay well away from any mention of the monarchy, though.
