I like the Godfather approach in title. The first surpassed any and all expectations I had, and I’m hopeful this next one knocks it out of the park again. I plead they go with more non-Joker villains at the forefront again, too.

Agreed personally I want Hugo Strange and Zsasz as I think they would work with the horror movie vibe of The Batman

Good choices! I was thinking of Hush and The Court of Owls! They're a bit more "out there," but Clayface and Mr. Freeze would also be amazing to see get new live-action turns.

It'll be interesting seeing where they go with the next one. The Batman was such an interesting film and it left so many threads open that could easily be picked up.

I am hearing rumors Hugo Strange will indeed be the main villain of The Batman Part 2

As for the list above I liked Ackles as Batman in the long Halloween I could see him as the dcu Batman

I could see Fassbender or Madden delivering a good Batman.

I think the next Batman will be in his late 30s-early 40s. Robin will be a unknown, probably a Tom Holland-like. I think it could be time to give Talia al Ghul and the League of Assassins proper screen time and character development. I'm curious how they will balance the multiple villains that Batman movies have. We could be looking at another 3 hour Batman movie, honestly, and I'm willing to give it a chance. I say give The Batman Part 2 creators complete control.

I hope The Batman Part 2 is pacy. There were some unnecessary long scenes in The Batman. I think it's Matt Reeves style of filmmaking. Pattinson's Batman was really good though....subtle, yet effective.

An interesting viewpoint with some creators, who should help with The DCU movies.

Christian Bale Rumored Back As Batman

I take the Bale rumour with a pinch of salt though I would be all for it.

I have heard that the third Batman in The Flash maybe
    Adam West

I’m in. This does calm my worries a bit. I was afraid for a while that Michael Keaton’s Batman would be like Luke in TLJ. Fingers crossed that Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot make appearances! After this though, enough with General Zod trying to take over Earth!

I had very high hopes for The Flash, great to see Keaton back though the CGI looked a bit rough. I need to watch the IMAX trailer.

I’ll probably watch for Keaton, but the movie doesn’t look like my cup of tea at all.

The trailer in 4K looks much better though as the film is 4 months away I would expect a few tweaks with the visual effects. After a several rewatches picked up on a lot, as a huge fan of Flashpoint I can't wait for this reworking.

I bought a nice 1967 Batman Story Book Annual from an antiques shop for £10 on Saturday. I'm not a big Batman fan (as yet, anyway) but I do have the 1960s TV series and the 1966 film on DVD (still need to watch both) so I had to buy this tie-in to the 1960s TV series. I remember the Adam West Batman being repeated on TV in the mid-1990s so I've probably seen a few episodes though I don't have much of a memory of them.

Great that you have it on Blu-ray. I bought it on DVD for £40 in Tesco a few years ago. I get that it's a bit camp and spoof-like but I see above that @Revelator said that it was based on the 1960s comics of the time which must've went more in that direction. The annual was published by World Distributors who also did some of the vintage Bond annuals too, amongst many others like The Man From UNCLE. It has a nice range of stories combined with Batman villain profiles, Batman equipment and real world heroes such as profiles of FBI missions etc.

The late 50s and early 60s Batman comics were definitely wilder than anything in the show, although they lacked its tongue-in-cheek self-awareness. A couple episodes in the first season of Batman are direct adaptations of the comics and relatively faithful ones too. This was largely because Lorenzo Semple Jr. was the showrunner. Unfortunately the scripts for the next two seasons were edited by other people, so there were fewer adaptations and the show's humor went from tongue-in-cheek absurdity to cornball self-parody.

As for the Flash trailer, seeing Keaton back in the cowl (though it looks different than those from his earlier suits) is a delight. The film also seems to be taking cues from the Flashpoint Paradox, an excellent animated film based on the comics. Aside from those factors I'm not excited by all the overblown CGI.

Again I had no interest in the flash till Keaton coming back was announced

And I am watching this largely because of him
