Doubtful, this stale list looks based upon tabloid headlines, talk about an echo chamber, and fan chatter.

Either a brilliant PR move on his part, or on GE's part. Doesn't necessarily mean that someone knows something we don't.

Daniel Craig’s eldest daughter was there this past summer with a group of friends. Is she going to be in the next Bond film too, 😂??

Goldeneye is an exclusive resort where the rich and famous hang out regularly.

It’s where a lot of artists (writers, musicians, actors…), often go when they’re looking for peace and quiet.

And if ATJ was the next Bond (I’d wager, he’s not), would the ever secretive EoN want him making any kind of message like that? Would they appreciate that before the big announcement?

Or is the reality that ATJ knows he’s not going to be 007 and is screwing with the media, or anyone else who catches onto this?

    🤷‍♂️

Just a thought (after all, he seems to have a smart ass side to him).

Agreed on everything. Beside EON doesn’t even have a script/director yet, and that’ll always come before casting their leading man.

The more I see of ATJ, the more I really hope he's not the next Bond. He's got such a smug look to him

Yes, I must say I don't want that fella as Bond. Can't for the life of me imagine what I was thinking when I said I'd be ok with his casting. What a smug, high pitched w*nker, as someone said ;)
  • I feel like I am back in 2005 when many fans online were hating the idea of Craig as Bond. :D Relax, everyone. If ATJ is cast, he will be great and you will all grow to love him just like you grew to love Craig.

As with Craig, or any actor who may be cast. I will always give them a chance to prove themselves as Bond.
When Daniel Craig was cast, I had my reservations about the choice. EON have been doing this for a very long time, so I trust their judgement when it comes to casting such an iconic role.
There were a small and vocal set of fans who decided that Craig was not right, they had a massive dummy spit and have been whining and complaining about it ever since.
I'm sure there will be when Bond actor number seven is announced.
But until I see that actors finished film in a cinema, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

I've never been a fan of Henry Cavill's acting. Always felt a bit flat. I watched this clip from MI Fallout and I thought his acting was pretty good.

He had a bit more oomph to his delivery. Maybe if he could play Bond with some intensity he could have potential. Maybe with the right director to guide him he could expand his acting range a little.

I've always thought Martin Campbell would have brought out the best in Cavill, if he were cast as James Bond back in 2005.

Yes he looks a bit of a tosser these days. I'm no longer a fan either. Voice ain't right and he's too short as well.

Callum Turner is one I'm keeping an eye on. He has a Fleming look to him, and in the right clothes and style, he could be the next Bond.

The name has been mentioned here once or twice, but let Barry Keoghan do the most screwed up Bond you could ever imagine.

He plays freaky little weirdos so well. What if he were a completely unhinged villain or henchmen instead?

He’s a bit typecast admittedly, but I’ve said before that him as Bond makes sense. There are moments in Saltburn where they play up the idea that he’s very much in control of the situation, and he can do magnetic charisma/sexuality (albeit in a very, very weird way in that particular film). He actually wears a tuxedo well, has a good physique and moves well onscreen (he’s a boxer I believe, and he can dance just as well as ATJ… again in a very strange way in that film, but he can do it). He ordinarily plays dark loners and gets given bad haircuts/purposely slouches and plays with his body movements while in these roles, but he’s a good looking guy when you see him in interviews. Good blue eyes. A bit short though.

I mean, he’ll never get cast, but I’d take him over Jacob Elordi. He could certainly do a Bond villain too, but I hope he branches out as an actor/away from dark lonely weirdos.

It looks like he's been getting the leading man treatment lately, with a GQ story and shoot and stuff like that. You are right of course that he'd never get cast and even if, they'd never do a script and give it to a director that would let him off the leash, but it's a fun kind of "Craig walked, so Keoghan could run"-type of fan casting...

He had better be careful; he's heading down the Hiddleston path.

While I was initially a supporter of Henry Cavill as Bond, as I saw him in more roles my enthusiasm waned . He has two films coming out this year that, depending on how he performs, could possibly sway me back. Either way, I’m looking forward to both.
