Could be fun; M. Night is hit or miss though...

Yeah I liked Old I even bought it, M. Night's four horseman of the apocalypse film was mixed, After Earth was dreadful.

    M. Night is still one of the more interesting film makers out there, I rewatched The Sixth Sense recently, still a great movie.

    M. Night is similar to Zack Snyder: There's no middle ground. People either love them or hate them.

I do like Snyder as well, but he held back on introducing new DC villains, in favor of his own spin on them. He seems like a nice guy, and I wish him well.

As for the future of 2024, D & W, Joker 2 and Beetlejuice 2 are really the only movies that are a must see as soon as possible for me.

It's moooostly on my radar for the potential Bond candidate angle. I liked Northman just fine.

A good example of a trailer showing the whole movie.

Is Pitt maybe a bit too old to be a F1 driver.

I dunno, the guy is 60- whatever and looks like he's 40-something (the damn fine looking bastard!); he also plays a character coming out of retirement for one last shot at glory, plus to mentor the other lead character.

It can work, and this teaser was quite nice. Pretty much drops us right in the middle of the action, the driving scenes look amazing... I'm definitely in for this.

To be fair Pitt does look at lot younger than his actual age.

Is it just me or does it look a little... too budget?

    Oof that looks slick!

Denzel is everything I expect from him and can't wait to see what he does with the role.

Mescal looks and sounds awesome (giving off young Mel Gibson vibes(?)).

The action looks to be something else.

I haven't been a fan of Scott for years. His output has left me wanting more.and in interviews he's come off as a bit of an ass.

I hope this film as as good and as satisfying as this trailer.!

Looks like Denzel steals the show, though I did raise a smile to Mescals Irishness coming through "Didja now?" 😄

He sounded vaguely South African to me in places too! The trailer looks great - I had zero interest in this previously, assuming that Scott had lost his touch.

I had a feeling that this would probably happen. It wouldn’t surprise me if this is Old Shrek. Almost every comeback franchise at least a decade old does this. With Shrek spoofing pop culture and regularly, I think could be a basic idea for the movie.

Trailer for John Woos next movie (remake of "The Killer", set in Paris):

    Some solid action scenes here.

At least he uses CGI to tell an original story, more often than not.

It looks like... well, a remake. It's exactly the kind of update Hollywood would make.

For those in the New York City area, the Film Forum is in the process of have a Jean-Pierre Melville retrospective.

Among the films to be screened: BOB LE FLAMBEUR, LE SAMOURAÏ (1966), LE CERCLE ROUGE (1970), LE SILENCE DE LA MER (1949), LE DEUXIÈME SOUFFLE (1966) , ARMY OF SHADOWS (1969) and UN FLIC (1972).

    https://filmforum.org/series/the-complete-melville#now-playing

I’m especially interested in seeing ARMY OF SHADOWS and it will have an extended run beyond the general retrospective.
