At present, I do not own a console and have not done for a number of years. Although i do have the N64 Goldeneye Edition which my parents bought for me all those years ago. It sits proudly amongst my collection.

I genuinely hope this new game is as ground breaking as Goldeneye was back in the 90's? If it is? I will treat myself to it!

I don't think for me the game has to be "groundbreaking" as that's a very difficult thing to do these days. I just want something that is very high quality, is very fun to play, and makes full gameplay use of the activities James Bond gets up to.

A fun, compelling, high quality single player campaign, a linear experience but with some larger areas to explore and some flexibility in the story, along with a solid online and local multiplayer suite, would be fantastic.

I whole heartedly can get behind all that! Which means if achieved? I have an expensive purchase coming up at some point? :))

I don't see this one being groundbreaking in the same way GE '64 was, but I'm still incredibly excited to see how that style in their Hitman series translates to the world of Bond.

Hopefully that means it'll be really ambitious, at least enough to give us some semi-linear chase sequences in vehicles. Very excited to see more of what they're cooking up.

New details will be "coming soon" surrounding the 007 origin story in Project 007. Production is going "amazingly well" and Bond's described as a "young Bond for gamers," which is also supposedly the start of a new trilogy for this Bond.

Very interesting. Not sure how I feel about describing this origin story as a ‘young Bond’ thing, but I presume they simply mean a younger Bond getting his 00 status rather than him as a teenager or something.

Anyway, it’s nice to hear it going well. It’s a nice bit of concrete Bond news which we don’t quite have for the films at the moment! But it’s good to see a Bond video game in the works (Bond video games have been a surprisingly cool and dare I say even important part of the franchise. It’s a shame they weren’t anywhere near as good/successful in the Craig era from what I understand).

That's my guess too. No way he'll be a teenager but he won't be a seasoned 40-year-old agent either...yet. If they're doing a trilogy, it'd be exciting following Bond through different phases of his career, with his own skills being harnessed and crafted in turn to explain any "new abilities and skills" in the sequels. Very exciting stuff. Given the comments, I'm sure it won't be more than another year before we're getting even more concrete details.

“Yeah, I feel you. I've got literally zero evidence for it, but I just hung out with him while he was back home.

I said to him "how long are we gonna have to wait for it" and he thought about it and said "year and a half" but something about his cadence made me follow up to ask "is that release or just news?" and he said "what year are we in now? (I said 2024) Yeah, maybe like a year or less for news, and 1.5/2 years for release"

I didn't press him for much details because I felt it would be a bit rude and inconsiderate to put him in that position, but I did ask if its actual internal title is "Project 007" and he said no, it's internal title is "KNT" which he always calls it "cunt"

I don't know what KNT stands for, or if it's like an abbreviation of the actual title. He's back around Christmas, I really wanted to ask him if it's designed in a similar way to Hitman (replayable levels etc) or if its more similar to the straight forward AAA campaigns. I'll ask that next time I see him, but he did sound really excited about it and said its really cool”
