Gosh I never knew about those Mallet and Walken ones: good eyes!
There he is on the Keeper of Traken's chair! :D
You only see a blur of the Walken covers when Roger crosses the room to look at the painting of Misty the horse. Would love to get ahold of those covers somehow. The Mallet magazine is one you can buy but typically very expensive. Took many years to find a reasonably priced copy.

Keeper of Traken was a memorable serial. Love that eerie Melkur statue in the gardens.

A brewery? I honestly don't know the answer to that one or even what film or book we are referring to.

A chameleon? Since Bond is not who is seems in DAD and in TLD we don't know who is Bond from the three chaps?

Thanks for reviving my ad-hoc question from three months ago. No, it's not a brewery. It can be seen in a movie...rather early in the franchise.

No, not a brand. Not clothes, nor vehicles or firearms.

And it's the name of a species or kind of animal, is it? Like 'hedgehog'? This might be too cryptic for me!

@mtm Can you connect 'hedgehog' to both TLD and DAD pre-titles?

I have the beginning of an answer to the question : I would guess monkeys. We see them in Gibraltar in TLD, of course (they practically own the place anyway), but I don't see how they feature in DAD.

I believe it is a hedgehog.

We see Bond dodge a hedgehog on the road during the PTS of TLD. In DAD Bond is observed using a stealth glider made with wood and metal and it resembles a hedgehog spine.

Here's the answer: A 'hedgehog' is a static anti-tank obstacle defense made of 3 angle beams, first made in Czechoslovakia. Examples seen in both TLD and DAD pre-titles sequences:

Extra trivia: Both TLD and DAD gun barrel sequences open the iris on these hedgehog defenses.

Interesting. I never knew these things are called (Czech) hedgehogs, though I now find out that there is even the German word "Tschechenigel" for them. Remarkable also, as mentioned in the Wikipedia article: After the Nazis took over most of Czechia based on the 1938 Munich accord ("Peace in our time" said Neville Chamberlain...we know how well that worked out), they shipped most of the hedgehogs to the Western front as part of the Atlantic Wall. Thanks @QBranch for a learning experience beyond Bond details.

@j_w_pepper Always something new to learn isn't there? We've all seen these things before, but never thought to find out what they're called.

Then, here goes : Which famous actor, who played James Bond, was mentioned by Ian Fleming in one of his novels ? Hint : the novel happened before the Bond movie.

That would have been David Niven in YOLT.
It's about Kissy Suzuki's pet cormorant:
    “So this is David?”
“Yes. I named him after the only man I liked in Hollywood— an Englishman, as it happens. He was called David Niven. He is a famous actor and producer. You have heard of him?”
And the point goes to JW Pepper. It is indeed David Niven, who later was Sir James Bond in CR '67. Your turn now.

Technically it's still @mtm's round from when he guessed 'Adams & Adams', but it's all the same to me. 👍
