It could be a slogan that the international established order will use to achieve a One World Government in the spirit of a New World Order even if it means to defy God regardless of the desastrous or catastrophic consequences this will bring for the earth and mankind.

Wow, it all makes sense now. Thanks.

I'm a bit bemused as to why anyone would name their house Skyfall though. It has negative connotations and implications of disaster to me (ie: the sky falling in) so that hardly seems a nice atmosphere in which to bring up a young boy.

But I suppose P&Ws first suggestion of:

Albert R Broccolis EON Productions presents

Daniel Craig as Ian Flemings James Bond 007 in

    Dunroamin

would have been shite even by their standards.

Skyfall was somethin Wade added at the last minute. He talks about it in an interview. He said the word just came to him and he went with it, they liked it, it stook.

Now I would have loved to hear, what Adele and Epworth would have been doing with that one... "Take the Dunroamin, when it crumbles..." :O :bz :-bd [-O< :o3

And this might be the new version of lyrics, unfortunatley Dunroamin only rhymes with foaming and moaning...

    This is the end
Hold your breath and count to ten
Feel the earth move and then
    Hear my heart burst again

    For this is the end
I've drowned and dreamt this moment
    So overdue I owe them
    Swept away, I'm stolen

    Let the Dun roamin,
    When it crumbles
    We will stand moanin
    Face it all together

    Let the Dun roamin,
    When it crumbles
    We will stand moanin
    Face it all together
    At Dunroamin
    At Dunroamin

    Dunroamin is where we start
A thousand miles and poles apart
Where worlds collide and days are dark
    You may have my number
    You can take my name
But you'll never have my heart

    Let the Dun roamin
    (Let the Dun roamin),
    When it crumbles
    (When it crumbles)
    We will stand moanin
    (We will stand moanin)
    Face it all together

    Let the Dun roamin
    (Let the Dun roamin),
    When it crumbles
    (When it crumbles)
    We will stand moaning
    (We will stand moanin)
    Face it all together
    At Dunroamin

    (Let The Dun roamin)
    (When it crumbles)
    (We will stand moanin)
    (Let The Dun roamin)
    (When it crumbles)
    (We will stand moanin)

    Where you go I go
    What you see I see
I know I'd never be me
Without the Security of your loving arms
    Keeping me from harm
Put your hand in my hand
    And we'll stand

    Let the Dun roamin
    (Let the Dun roamin),
    When it crumbles
    (When it crumbles)
    We will stand moanin
    (We will stand moanin)
    Face it all together

    Let the Dun roamin
    (Let the Dun roamin),
    When it crumbles
    (When it crumbles)
    We will stand moanin
    (We will stand moanin)
    Face it all together
    At Dunroamin

    Let the Dun roamin
    We will stand moanin
    At Dunroamin

Well, Skyfall is the name of the mansion of Bond's parents. We may consider that this name have something related to the environment of the mansion area.
With that in mind, if you observe in the movie how the night falls when Silva is approaching the mansion and how the sky looks after he left the chopper, you may see the characters in a cloud dark scenario, as if the sky had fallen and only the cloudy dark night remained.

Any Penny! said "The guy is falling."
In the song is an embedded distress call, to an unlikely group (who likes trains). The MOM group said let the guy fall. In the end the different groups overcome together in a selfless act to defeat tearany (which is the geater meaning of the movie). Whoever wrote the song understood the code streams.

What are you on about? :-/

I have a theory about the emotional significance of SkyFall :
And if it was Bond's fall "from the sky" at the end of the train sequence, before the main credits ?

The audience and the MI6 thought at the beginning he died and then he came back from the dead, but he is must more "shaked" because he nearly dies this time. He had some kind of "revelation", just like Samuel L. Jacks'on's character at the end of Pul Fiction.

MI6 forced him to have a psychological test and we see in the trailer that Bon missed his target twice in the training room (3rd and 4th pictures of the teaser). Maybe the fall in slow-motion in the Shangai sequence reminds Bond his own fall (like in "Vertigo"). And all the idea of the movie is that Bond must be no more this "physical wreck" (Silva calls him this way in the underground sequence) but the "true" James Bond again.

Maybe the villain is using some sort of device to catapult meteorites to earth and Bond need to stop Him/it from happening before the sky fall... That's why I go with it being an operation like TB a mission to stop the sky falling.

How on Earth would any human be able to that?

A moon-based HAARP facility. I'm currently using this kind of 'death ray' weapon in my Bond story, except it's only Earth-based as I'm trying to avoid outer space plots!

No, Skyfall was a trigger word, which was briefed to many people in the service, but not all - it goes like this:

If or when you ever hear a certain trigger word, it means "the roof has come in, and the service has fallen partially or wholly under control of foreign power".

If you hear this word, you are to drop whatever you are doing and go home.

The trigger word is made up of 2 normal words, which are very unlikely to be found in any normal sentence, to form one word...... The trigger word is SKYFALL.

Amazingly, rather than take any chances, they simply used it as the title of a bond film. That way, nobody can be mistaken, or wonder if it is a mistake. Amazing.

But dont forget, the roof came in and the service has fallen partially or wholly under control of foreign power. This is a big statment, to make in a film, and you may supsect a red herring ?

But yet, on the bridge M watches as the mi6 building blows up - the roof comes in, just as the briefing. And someone else was accessing M's laptop - controlling it, without her consent. The roof came in, and M's laptop was being controlled by foreign power.

I suppose, unless you KNOW, its impossible to tell what is happening - but in actual fact, they are VERY careful to show the truth as accurately as they can.
