If she was "Robert Broccoli", the narratives that exist about her devotion/fealty to Craig would not exist. It is unfortunate.
Oh im not saying that. Im just saying that out of all the Bond actors no one had more power than Craig. Good for him if he had that power. He knows his value.
Well, she has bigger balls than most of us. She cast Craig in the first place.
Gotcha. He was probably under a similar deal Brosnan was under.
In one of Craig's recent interviews (I can't remember where) he said that it was Barbara who pushed him forward and made him personally go to the various department heads when there were questions, concerns, etc. during his breaks. No wonder he was exhausted.
However, my slight concern or worry is, James Bond shouldn't change too much...even if it's very much possible that from here on out, we're going to see Bond do some things that might surprise us or things we don't usually envisage him do.
I'll be fine with him.
Flavour of the week, and I'm sure he won't be the last. SAS: Rogue Heroes will be on again soon, and no doubt Jack O'Connell and Connor Swindells will get a boost from that.
Connor Swindells could be a potential to consider.
According to posts I've read here, Bond can be anything. (But not short?)
Nobody in any thread has said Bond can be "anything" and you're just baiting argument. Be serious. That out of the way, the magic of movies they could easily make a 5'7" Bond work on screen. It just would hurt publicity.
Now, I sure there will be different views on this but for me the range is 5’9 to 6’4, with the sweet spot between 5’11 to 6’2
I don’t want to have an actor who’s 5’7 and is reliant on clever camera work to look taller and I don’t want one who is 6’7 and towers over most around him.
I knew that someone would bring up Tom. He is an exception, and as much as I like the character of Ethan Hunt, he is not Bond.
sylvester stallone was pretty short in his Rocky movies as well and they made it work.
I think Dalton is maybe the tallest of them, is that right? And yet I wouldn't say I could exactly tell that watching him as Bond.
I think Hoult would actually be the tallest of them all if he were cast, but he's another one who I'm actually surprised is as tall as he is, I don't think I've ever noticed his height in one of his films.
It's just a random video on the state of Bond pertaining to the wsj article that's all. It's kind of too political I'm sorry. Its my fault i need a break from here. I think you would agree too. I got sent into the good old ocd death spiral. @MakeshiftPython
@Benny I'm sorry. It is not productive. I apologize. I'm taking a break.
Can you please use commas and full stops? Without proper punctuation, it's hard to read your posts. Thank you. :-)
@DarthDimi Yeah. I'm kind of a sloppy writer.
