The upside of him joining now is that he will get the January window, and the rest of the season to get to know the players, and plan a strategy for the summer.
My team is the worst in fpl history.
True if the board don't sack him, my club is a mess I hope from the chaos something positive happens.
Norway could become the first country in Europe to abandon the Video Assistant Referee system after a vote Wednesday by the country’s top soccer clubs.
Nineteen clubs voted against continuing the use of VAR while 13 voted for keeping it, according to a statement by Norsk Toppfotball, the organization that represents the 32 teams in Norway’s top two divisions.
A decision on the future of VAR will be made by the Norwegian soccer federation in March
Do you think they should abandon VAR in Norway ?
Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim admits to making mistake over 'worst-ever' team in club's history comment....... ???
Man Utd head coach Ruben Amorim: "I was talking more for myself than from my players, because you have to find out a coach that starts a job and loses seven games in the first 10. So it's more for me, I was talking more about me than the players"
He should play a 4-5-1 or 5-4-1 (i think he did it against Liverpool, i didn't see much of that game) ? and start winning games instead of saying there's going to be in pain at first with his "system" ?
They again rushed finding a new manager imo But it might work out, who knows ?
Play on the counter attack like Forrest etc and try to qualify for europe at least....... ?
The fee paid by Manchester City is a reported £59 million ($115.9 million) plus add-ons for the striker, who is seen by many as a replacement for Julian Alvarez, who left for Atletico Madrid last year.
Never seen this guy play......
The board will be crucial for sure. The results didn't happen for Arsenal until the Kroenke's started to spend some money – and it took a long time until they were willing to do so.
Oh, definitely! They have less cameras than in England, and the refs are even worse; I'm not against VAR in principle, but it doesn't work the way it's implemented right now, and in Norway we even got the budget version – which has resulted in a lot of protests by fans, and clubs now voting against it.
Norges Fotballforbund (NFF, the Norwegian Football Federation) can still go against the recommendation of Norsk Toppfotball, and I expect they will. Unfortunately.
Players are signed all over the place, yet complete silence at Arsenal, who soon can't field a decent starting eleven…
Arsenal should have got some goal scorers in instead they got Merino, Calafiori ,Raheem Stirling's no good now. ?
Edu's gone too which doesn't help ?
Liverpool only signed a Keeper at the start of the season , (should have signed some defenders) if Virgil gets injured ?????
I can understand them getting Calafiori, and to some extent Merino, but Sterling looks to have been a solution just to cover the fact that they have, yet again, failed to find a decent backup (or competition) for Saka. And now, with Saka injured, and a Sterling that doesn't look to add anything at all to the team, they have essentially ruined their chances for silverware this season. Arteta and Arsenal can hide behind Ethan Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly proving that they can step into the first team, but it doesn't hide the fact that they have failed in the transfer window.
I think Edu leaving seemed strange, and very much out of the blue. I wonder what's been going on there. What Arsenal will miss, is his network, particularly in Brazil and (you would think) South America. And I haven't read much about a permanent replacement for Edu either, which is worrying.
I thought it was strange that Liverpool didn't do more in the transfer marked. For now at least, they seem to be doing just fine though! It will take something extraordinary for them not to win the league, and likely CL too!
_______
Here are the gameweek 23 captaincy picks!
To nobody's surprise, Salah is by far the most captained player this gameweek. Only Isak is backed by more than one manager out of the other captaincy picks. Good luck everyone!
I would guess Edu got a massive pay rise/sign on fee to go to Evangelos Marinakis's group of clubs.....
Wouldn't surprise me!
Lewis-Skelly straight red before half-time. That must be one of the worst referee decisions I've ever witnessed. Again Michael Oliver against Arsenal – putting a definite end to their season.
At least you got the 3 points in the end.
It will be interesting to see if the red is overturned ?
Luckily, yes! Still fuming about Oliver though. I certainly hope that the red card is overturned, but I doubt it.
I watched the replay a few times now and it looks like he raised his studs and got him on the shins first 1.06
Have a look again and tell me what you think ?
That's not a red card in my opinion. Yellow, sure – which Goes too got later in the game, but a straight red and a three match ban. No way.
The reactions have been unanimous too. I haven't seen a single pundit or ex player backing the decision.
The only pundit so far that i've seen thinks it's a red is Steve Nicol on espnfc.
PGMOL: Video evidence proves Lewis-Skelly was high and late

Don't worry your club is big/rich enough to get back.
I remember when Klopp's team lost 7-2 to villa and they couldn't win at Anfield for 6-7 games in a row (against the bottom 5-10 clubs) a few years ago breaking some losing records the club had since the 1920's or something i was feeling the same as you do.
At least your club wins trophies, unlike Spurs etc.....
That's not a wise thing to say if they want to sell him and/or get the best price ?

Luckily the FA disagrees. Lewis-Skelly will be available for the games he would have missed.
