007 Deathmatch

Hello everyone. Seeing as how there isn’t a similar thread for this subject, I thought I’d start a new little game for the forum called 007 Deathmatch. The rules of the game are simple, we pick two characters (or sets of characters) and essentially pit them against one another while determining the outcome of the battle. There will be two rounds; one which is straight Hand to Hand Combat - the other involving the use of Weapons/Gadgets. Anything goes here in this little game! For the first match, I thought it’d be quite appropriate to pit two legendary Bond characters against one another.

In one corner we have…ODDJOB…loyal henchmen to Auric Goldfinger, Oddjob posses brute strength, a high pain tolerance, and a deadly razor sharp Bowler Hat capable of bringing down a target when thrown from a good distance.

In the other corner we have…JAWS…an international assassin with various employers at different times, Jaws also posses brute strength and a high pain tolerance, but is armed with razor sharp teeth that are most effective when in close quarters.

Round 1; Hand to Hand only; battle takes place in Fort Knox.

Round 2; Weapons/Gadgets permitted; battle takes place in Atlantis.

Ladies and Gentlemen, place your bets and let the mayhem begin…

Anyone else care to chime in?

After losing his deadly hat early on, Oddjob resorts to his brute strength to survive.
A few choice blows to Jaws leads to Oddjob’s signature grin.
However it’s not enough to overcome the sheer strength of Jaws, who uses a couple of gold bars to knock Oddjob out, eventually severing his jugular vein with a bite to the neck.

    Jaws wins

This would be interesting. If Jaws gets in close quarters it might be over, however Oddjob has a short neck area and may be able to block the bite attacks. We only see Oddjob killing with his hat? Would he be able to take out a 7' giant with it?

I think I will go with Oddjob here. Both are likely to be bloodied and beaten by the end.

  • Would anyone else like to contribute? Seems a bit too early to call this battle and move on.

    Aight just gimme a sec.

    Oddjob: (9-B)
Attack Potency: Wall Level (Far above the likes of Bond; his hat has a steel blade in its brim which is sharp enough to behead a marble statue)
Speed: Superhuman with Supersonic reactions (Much faster than Bond)
Strenght: Class 1 (Scales to, and is physically stronger than, Bond) | Wall level (Broke a huge wooden plaque with a single hand)
Durability: Wall level (None of Bond's attacks could harm him, including hitting him with a wooden plaque to the head or throwing a gold bar on his chest)
    Stamina: Peak Human
Range: Standard Melee Range on his own, higher with his hat
    Standard Equipment: His hat
    Intelligence: Unknown
Weaknesses: Normal human weaknesses apply, but has survived situations which would kill an average human

    Jaws: (9-B)
Attack Potency: Wall level (Jaws killed a bull shark just by biting it, can bend metal and bit through metal cable; could lift and destroy metal electric canisters, rip them out of the train and throw them/destroy them easily. Superior to Bond physically)
Speed: Superhuman (Is comparable to Bond)
Strenght: Class 1 (Scales to, and is vastly superior than, Bond. Overpowered a shark; tore and lifted electric canisters out of the ground. Threw them at Bond with ease) to possibly Class 5 | At least Wall Level
Durability: Wall level (Survived a drop which would of caused an impact of 515814 J; superior to Bond and while he was affected by his attacks, he wasn't taking damage)
    Stamina: Superhuman
Range: Standard Melee Range, Tens of Meters with the flamethrower and firearms
    Standard Equipment: Metal teeth, Flamethrower
Intelligence: Average | Above Average (On occasion has shown to match Bond in strategic fighting)
Weaknesses: Can die by enough brute force, however, it would take an immense amount of bullets and rockets to kill him. Is very direct and has a limited range.

Given the above, it could be said that it could go either way. If Oddjob manages to land a fatal blow on Jaws, he wins, but if Jaws manages to get his hands on Oddjob, it's over for him.

Both superstrong but not very agile. Oddjob has the advantage of a long range weapon with his hat, Jaws was never good at dodging stuff, so it'll have to be a win for Oddjob I suppose.
  • Excellent analysis @TheSkyfallen06! Since you arrived at a stalemate I’ll cheat and give both Oddjob and Jaws a point for you ;). Accounting for that and for @GoldenGun’s answer we have a total of;

    Oddjob; 4
    Jaws; 3

    This is quite the match!
