Or something 😉
I guess it’s possible it’ll be a more major announcement like a tentative release date years from now (or indeed a spin off property of Bond), but I’m more expecting Amazon will give an indication of what they’ll do with Bond/perhaps try to reassure fans of their direction and stewardship. I highly doubt they have a script or actor. We’ll see though.
Contrary to popular belief Amazon aren't just a bunch of chumps. They didn't sink almost 10 billion into acquiring this property just to let it sit on the shelf, or they would have just kept the existing working relationship with EON.
No doubt Amazon execs will have seen the (mostly) negative trade and public response to this, so wont want to rush into announcements which are premature.
Other than a reference to it, I wouldnt expect much comment.
Not a chance. There was a recent Amazon call where they purposely didn't discuss Bond because it needs to stay confidential until the deal closes in May.

I do. That's the easiest thing for them to schedule, even if the date changes later. They are going to want to move fast after finally gaining control.
That's why everything to do with Heyman is being talked about as rumour. Nothing can be made official, but a lot is happening behind the scenes.
Heyman
1. Deal closes in May.
2. Next, trade press reports on a rumored/reported showrunner/leader like Amy Pascal or someone (already happening).
3. Next, writers are announced via trade press reports.
4. Next, a release date (once they know they have a solid story I'd wager).
5. Next, some crew like director and producers.
6. Next, an actor.
Ah fair enough. I guess that’d technically be the first announcement in this situation.
Sounds about right.
Unless it is just a rumour and not true of course.
I feel not all of that will coincide in the wider world for the future unfortunately (I can't personally remember the last time was considered bright in the wider world!) But I'm sure there'll be some sort of Bond news this year and things will hopefully get rolling further down the line.

Do not invoke the name of McClory. It will bring us bad luck!
I agree in part, though I always found Craig's designer stubble in those scenes, quite amusing.
Brosnan's beard doesn't really bother me. I mean, 14-months without a shave or a haircut? It would be strange if he didn't look like Robinson Crusoe.
As Cubby would say, put the money on the screen. Aside from Spain that doubled well for Cuba, most of DAD was shot in England and Wales. It shows, and I think audiences know when they’re being cheated.
I hope Amazon don’t take that path, and shoot in real locations around the world.
Yeah. I like that as well.
People need time to get used to the new face.
Count me in on that opinion..
I like it too.
I always thought Brosnan works better when he tries to be Roger Moore rather than Dalton.
