As simple as the titles are, they are most effective. And Shirley'classic is definately helping.

That's mister GOldfinger's suite! Yes, you're very sweet. Not something that would work these days.
Actually amazing how much info we're given in such a short time. It seems films were a bit more intelligent than they are now.

The chase around the factory really never did it for me. But then again, we needed to get to the most iconic Bond scene ever...

They could've made the mobsters a bit more professional. It would've helped launch Auric's epic speech.

I never really got that: first explain the plan, then kill the hoodlums. I get it he doesn't want them all to have a pressing engagement, but he could've done without the speech.

And so Pussy caves in. Still a jarring scene.

Imaginening seeing this film the first time in the cinema. It would be quite overwhealming, wit all those 'dead', and the mission seemingly working out.

The president wants to thank you personally.
    It was nothing, really.
I know that, but he doesn't.
Like the banter. Just not the Felix.

Definately no time to be rescued.

That was more fun than I thought it would be.

The flaws bother me less now. And it's a well made film with tension properly dispersed through the film.

    And Connery rocks, of course.

Excellent write up , @CommanderRoss on my fave Bond movie.

I'm watching DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER now.

    Plenty O'toole.
One of my favorite actors, Marc Lawrence gets pounded by Sean here.

    Circus Circus!

Norman Burton gets some flack, but I think he has great chemistry with Connery.

Larry Blake- another one of my favorite actors.
I love the circus circus scene.

I like Burton's Felix. I don't need the character to be exactly like in the novels, as long as they seem like they're mates, which they do here.

Favourite sequence of events from this film begins when Saxby leaves the airport and switches with Metz who then makes his way out into the desert towards Whyte Tec, through Bond and Tiff leaving the premises in the Mustang. Close second is Bond taking the elevator and rappelling up to the penthouse suite.

The oil rig climax is a lot of fun for me. Although for ages, Charles Gray was my least fave Blofeld, he's really risen in my view, now.
He has a good rapport with Connery.
