As long as all the films come in physical 4K, standard packaging, & no changes or censorship, I’m happy.

New transfer or not, I find it hard to believe they would even try to release these 4k disc without HDR.

Is there a suggestion of that? HDR is mainly what I'd be getting them for to be honest, over the resolution.

I have to think all 25 films on a 4k box set would sell like hot cakes on Amazon.

I'm sure I read somewhere that their just using the Lowry transfers from a decade ago. If that is true and there is no new remastering from original camera negatives, no HDR and no restoration of the sound then it's a hard no for me.

It would either be brand new scans or the scans they conducted for 2015.

Doesn't sound like anything new disappointing 😕 it's just a port from the Blu-ray set I have.

I’d be surprised if there was anything they could have dug up for new bonus material. The Special and Ultimate editions really took it to the limit with the Connery installments.

When it comes to bonus material, I think the only thing they could improve is some of the documentary features for the Michael & Barbara era. DN-LTK has those wonderful Inside documentaries that were produced in 1999 for all 16 films of the Cubby era. GE/TND/TWINE understandably didn’t have those docs because they were still fairly recent films and couldn’t be looked back from a retrospective angle the way DN-LTK were.

Seems that all the features at least got ported over. That's good. As long as sets for the other actors follow I might be nearing the end of keeping Bond 50 on my shelf! I was only planning on keeping it if the extras weren't ported over. I wasn't holding my breath for anything new, but I didn't want to lose anything.

It would be cool if they upgraded the remaining John Cork "Inside..." documentaries that got the royal treatment on the initial dozen or so Blu-ray releases but got abandoned by the time the rest of the films followed, but I won't hold my breath for that either.

Funny how it hasn't got 'James Bond' written on it. On the shelf you'd think it was just a collection of Sean Connery films.

It’s pretty much exactly like they did with Craig’s cover.

Though I suspect that’s tentative because I doubt Amazon would let WB only have their logo on the spine and no mention of MGM.

Even closer to the BR set of a few years ago

That’s lazy and disappointing - the copying and lack of Bond name / numbering on the spine. Oh well, it’s low on my list of cares when buying a 4K still.

I guess it matches the Craig 4K set which is already out, so makes sense.

Better to have OHMSS in that collection than NSNA. Hopefully, the collection is more polished in picture and sound than to qualify its existence on 4K.

Disappointing cover art and still no specs on whether they are new restorations with HDR or just the old Lowry remasters. Not thrilling me so far.

I’m guessing it’ll be the same master used on the Amazon Prime /Apple TV 4K?

Which are at least an improvement from the 2005 versions.
