As equally bad as the last scene with Jinx (well every scene with Jinx) is, Moneypenny's "kiss" ranks just as badly.
Bain, my point is not that Bliss had better chemistry with Dalton than Bond did with Brosnan, or that she's a better actress. Both are pale imitations of Lois Maxwell. My point is I prefer Bliss' portrayal because the Moneypenny character is treated with the same respect and dignity that Lois established. The things that come out of Bond's mouth during most of the Brosnan era are more fitting for a porn movie. Not that I have anything against normal porn. Compared to Bliss, Samantha is Moneypenny is name only and never in deed. Not my definition of the real Moneypenny character. One of the things I absolutely hate the most of the Brosnan era is what was done to MP.
I also find it rather strange that a few words I wrote were edited, while people openly use words such as "shit" (now watch, that will get edited) and drop the F bomb and nothing is done. Someone dropped the ball I'd say. A little hypocritical in my view.
Flag their posts and you can also help stamp the swearing out. It's isn't tolerated so no one should be allowed to get away with it.
Nope, I'd rather watch SB as Moneypenny hands down ;) I understand what you mean but CB just makes me cringe. They're trying to recreate the Louis Maxwell flirtation and it JUST DOESN'T WORK.
Bliss is probably one of, if not the, only thing about the Dalton films that's bad.

It isn't unless it comes from M or Moneypenny. Would have liked it a lot better from the Danish girl, and far more appropriate too.

So lines like "something big's come up" are ok for kid's to hear but "cunning linguist" isn't? Both are pretty suggestive but both could also be explained away to an innocent child. I think SB does those lines well. It works for her version of MP - someone who playfully teases Bond back.

But it's Connery who said it, those quips are to be expected. And Lois used to tease Bond back better than that. With class and style.
Meh...I thought the "cunning linguist" line was funny. If you want to talk about innuendo that does make me crindge look no further than Halle's "I think I got the THRUST of it" #-o #-o #-o

I'd be more worried about you failure as a parent than EONs smut policy if you feel the need to censor it as what sort of upbringing did your children have if they willl understand the cunilingus reference?
No not at all a stretch over something that apart from the guns and missiles was fully functional and is still flying today along with good old Ken Wallis.
Now that you mention it I'm starting to think that Little Nellie could perhaps operate in real life. Perhaps not every gadget, but a few of them. The car submarine worked for real also, but a sports car turning into a sub in a matter of seconds is still implausible. But it's more realistic than a "vanishing" car. However, this doesn't matter to me. Bond and plausibility don't go hand in hand IMO. Of course it's good to maintain a good balance so that Bond doesn't turn into Star Trek or Star Wars. For instance, aliens attacking in earth in Bond 24 would probably be too OTT. But a few unrealistic gadgets don't hurt anyone IMO.

Compare the Plane sequence with that of the plane sequence in TLD. TLD looked and felt genuine and real, DAD just looked like a cartoon.

I went to the 1st Friday noon screening at the Empire Leicester Square. It's mainly Bond fans that attend the opening Friday screening so you usually get a good reaction to the Bond Quips/Nods etc on screen
I almost walked out but kept convincing myself it couldn't get any worse. Others in the audience didn't have my patience and did walk out. That is the only time I have been to a Bond film and so many people walked out!!!
