As long as they keep casting big names in the MI6 roles they’re gonna feel obligated to write to those actors.

Hoping they do not go this direction.

With the precedent already having been set, I doubt it’ll go to no-names.

I don't mind the MI6 gang continuing to have a larger role, but I wouldn't want them to have the same level of involvement as the last three Craigs, in EVERY film. I'd still like Bond to be the lone wolf without too much assistance from home.

I definitely wouldn't want Bond being on comms link during the climax to become the standard, even though it's probably more realistic in this day and age.

Ultimately I think it depends. I can see them wanting to use M a bit more/have some sort of drama come from them, even if minor, if a big name actor is cast.

There’s plenty that can be done, and they certainly don’t have to be used to the extent Dench and Fiennes were in the last few films. As said there’s stuff in the Fleming books that could be riffed on. Just depends on what’s interesting for the film/the story they want to tell.

Yeah exactly, it depends. If there’s a story there and they have it they should go for it. If not, then don’t.

Being on a comms link would be more realistic so I will just have to count on the filmmakers to have the villain relieve Bond of it.

Or just be in a situation where it’s believable he doesn’t. In any of the Craigs the tech was there, but he was often out on his own or thrown into the situation so it was believable there wouldn’t be a comms link.

I want to see Bond and Moneypenny have an on-again, off-again relationship and drag the entire MI6 staff into it including M, Q, Tanner, Villiers, and of course, a rebooted Frederick Gray. Some passive-aggression and people walking on eggshells and wondering what's going on between James and Eve every day. Bring in the HR director and let Bond have an affair with her too.
