No release date but it looks like Lorne Balfe won't be scoring this one https://filmmusicreporter.com/2025/04/18/max-aruj-alfie-godfrey-scoring-christopher-mcquarries-mission-impossible-the-final-reckoning/
That’s very surprising, I assumed he was on for it; I wonder if it was a scheduling thing.
Looks like those guys worked with him on the previous ones so I guess the sound will probably be very similar.
Tickets on sale Monday!
They were keeping their powder dry, which means MI:FR will be a lot of bang for the buck!
Similar situation to Harry Potter Part 1/Part 2. The finale will be epic. B-)
Looking at the trailer there’s nothing to suggest that MI:FR will be anything other than a great follow up, and a great MI adventure.
I don't deny that. My only worry from the trailer is the coffin where Ethan seems like he's going to upload his memories? That seems like jumping the shark to me if it's what's happening.
Yeah, but it's like Indy going back in time, if its the end of the series anyway then I don't have a problem it. It's the finale.
I found it fascinating how DR started leaning into almost fantasy or sci-fi with the AI stuff, after the grounded version we got in Fallout. I'm more in the Fallout crowd, so my hopes are tempered for this new one. I know I'll enjoy it, I just don't know if it'll be the best, for me. And I want every new one to be the best.
We re living in an age where technology is advancing almost exponentially, at such a rate that it may seem unrealistic when seen in a film.
Dealing with this is going to be a challenge for the next era of Bond
As someone who only has seen AI make cat images and write code with instructions from a human, I'm not worried. Anything beyond that application is sci-fi, still, to me. I know it'll be used for next-gen military communications and interception tech, but it's not exactly going to be taking over submarines and firing off nukes, that's hopefully firmly in sci-fi forever.
Maybe, maybe not…

In my opinion, it was the YOLT of MI. The magic was gone.
McQuarrie has already made too many movies IMO.
They were keeping their powder dry.
For some time I’ve said this about Marvel films , particularly The Avengers. Lol
Human/ AI interfacing is being done now and is advancing at incredible speed…

YOLT was the full package. Call it whatever you want but it’s never boring. I love TB but it does drag in many places. YOLT was the ultimate spectacle Bond! Ken Adam at his best, John Barry at his best, cinematography (by Freddie Young no less) at its best, gadgets (Little Nellie?) at their best, Japan locale at its best, villains (Blofeld, Helga, Osato, Hans) at their best, piranha pool at its best, best ally in Tiger Tanaka, etc etc. And still the best 60s Bond song (by the awesome Nancy Sinatra). Maybe Connery wasn’t at his best but I still think he delivers and runs circles around any Danny Craig performance.
I'm guessing that will be the next bond plot too
This looks good kind of like last film poster
The screentime and a lot Action made last movie more difficult then story actually be.
Mi7 showing that removed camera image on airport and created a error with mask maker and error with Google maps. But now Ethun going set his life in danger with a health machine that going to control his oxygen and heart with no doctor around close to the machine. Simalar as pilot in Top Gun or Bond in Tomorrow Never Dies. I thinks this based on Hospital machine that normally only be used when can't no longer breave alone or sleep machine. Moost of the time a Dutch design by Philips and the made for home sleep machine's are sometimes in discussion.
