The image doesn't display for me DC, all I have is the famous red X. Though by copying the URL from the properties it works.

As for the film, at last it'll be a good X-Men again something we haven't had in eight years!

    97% Fresh at Rotten Tomatoes?

    WOW!

I'd found X-Men the Last Stand and X-Men Origins Wolverines to be BLAH!

    Very beautiful indeed.

Unfortunately my hopes for this movie are not very high. I hope I'm wrong though.

Even more impressive is that the set design is so good it doesn´t totally vanish next to that lingerie.

She says she spent 8 hrs a day with 5 women putting the blue makeup on her 100% naked body!

Yeah, the new Mystique is smoking but she's no Rebecca Romijn.

Yup, you need to watch Mad Men, Smythey. In fact, you - or anyone - needs to do so for more than just January Jones... :)

Mad Men is in my to-watch list and not just for January Jones.... Mostly for Christina Hendricks. ;)
Plus, it being set in the '60s sounds rather fascinating. And I'm told by everyone who's seen it that it's a great show.
Sorry I went a little off topic here. :p

I've seen the adverts for it (as well as posts here), but i'm not interested enough in devoting any of my time to it.

Except for Mystique, I don't know who the rest of these fine women are but there are some Serious Babes in this film!!
  • Major DSmythe - if you look at that picture of January Jones and think that that's just an average-looking woman then I want to live where you live. Good God man, what do the "slightly-above-average" women that you know look like?

Do you mean the ones that can string a sentance together? Otherwise, there aren't many.
Major must live in a Harem!
    I wish.

I just finished writing a review on my blog. After all the positive early word, I went in with relatively high expectations and was disappointed. There's some decent stuff in there, and if you just want two hours of super-powered mutants tossing stuff at each other you'll probably find it satisfactory, but anyone interested in continuity or decent dialogue should turn their brain off. Michael Fassbender was superb as Eric/Magneto though. It's above the dreadful Origins: Wolverine and X-Men 3, but miles below both of Singer's movies. My full review is at the link below:

Ahh shame Xandaca - I was highly excited to see the film !! Will still go watch it soon - but will follow your instructions and switch my brain off. Well if it's better than X-Men 3 and Origins : Wolverine, it should atleast satisfy me.

I saw it today as well. I enjoyed it. It's got its flaws - the pacing of the final fight sequences is all wrong; there's two characters that I completely forgot about because the camera followed everyone else, and a lot of the characters seem to have been chosen simply for the roles they fill in the final sequence (I've heard a lot of Marvel puritans declare this film to be an atrocity simply because the characters are not the same as the First Class in the comics). But perhaps the most important thing is that both McAvoy and Fassbender pull off a Ewan McGregor. McGregor was about the only decent thing about the STAR WARS Prequel Trilogy, primarily because you could easily believe that he would go on to become Alec Guiness in A NEW HOPE. McAvoy and Fassbender do the same here - you can easily believe they go on to become Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan.

I watched the film yesterday. Opening night. I liked it a lot. Hopefully it'll bring home enough money to justify a sequel.

I saw it last night and enjoyed it very much. I think it actually slots into the continuity very well. I found Mystique's story to be particularly strong. McAvoy and Fassbender were also excellent. There was also one cameo that had the audience in stitches. Apparently the movie had a rushed production but it didn't feel like it.
