I started it with Adele's song while preparing breakfast. A perfect way to start Bond-Day, I dare say!

I read Dr No in 1958, when I was in the university, and was quite thrilled when James Bond came to the widescreen in 1962. Today, I will be quietly remembering those two wonderful and memorable years. Recently , I fell out with a friend who said Fleming did not write well. That was enough for me to forget him totally. Fleming resonates in me as Bond resonates. Happy 50 years, and another 50 years to come! Greetings to all. BTW, Adele is good.

I can't decide now whether I should go to a nice bar or restaurant, have a few drinks and a nice meal then come home and watch Dr No or go straight home after work, open a bottle of bubbly and watch Dr No.

I shall be putting on the blu-ray of Dr No - and if I can sort it, be sipping a Vesper. Happy Bond Day.
  • Listened to Adele's Skyfall theme in the car on my way to work this morning, watching from Russia with Love On EPIX while making my breakfast and buying myself some Clarks desert boots tomorrow as the budget option to Ryder III's. Everything or Nothing documentary tonight on EPIX. Gotta love life, gotta love Bond. Happy 50th...old man.
  • I shall be throwing any party poopers into my shark-infested swimming pool...

    Thank you guys! :)

@DCisared, I tried for the big ones too but no luck. Keep trying, my friend. Good luck!

I wonder what that "SKYFALL 007 watch" is. I doubt it's an Omega, they're too expensive to be given away like that...

I am like millions an eager Bond Fan and grew up on the 1970s filmd...Sir Ian Fleming was actually a 'Real Life British Intelligence Officer!' So naturally plenty of his Real life mindset went into his Books together with his his amazing ability diligent efforts Writing infact Fleming admitted he got the Name from the Author of a book on Bird Watching 'Ornithology'. So WHY are Bond Films Ever Popular? We believe there's a Bond in All Humans (regardless of Race,Religion,,Culture,Language)...we can All in intrigued by say a..' World Saving Suspense Adventure' (its our human innate Moral Conscience) OR A 'Clever New Gadget that may actually save our Life, or a Nice expensive Shapely Car or a Shapely Beautiful Woman or Man..Depending if yor a woman reading this! As an Ex- Qualified Surveillance Specialist and who ran a humble succesful 'Spy Surveillance &Protection Shop in Britain Now TURNED Anti WAR Truth Peace Activist, much of James Bond Spy Film Script has quite some elements of Truths Facts, what is really going on in our shocking 'WAR Torn World run by (us the People?Sadly NO) its run by mostly 'Oily, Lunatic,Corrupt,Greedy Bankers & Politicians(compulsive Liars) of the Secular New World Order, Secret Societies,,(that do exist FACTS not Fiction),who own control Wealthy World News Media for many years, churning out too much Disinformation via their Real 'WMD: Weapons of Mass Deception'...Just GOOGLE it Goto www.whatreallyhappend.com Or infowars.com or Read 'SYNTHETIC Terrorism Author,Historian DR Webster Tarpley' Or 'Satanic Voices' by David Musa Pidcock A Fact Expose on sinister Secret Societies & Intelligence Agencies,NSA,'Book Net Spies' by Simon Davies and Brave David Shayler(Ex Mi6 Real OfficerWhistleblower!)Watch his Films with Shocking Truths& goto www.infowars.com also YOU Must Watch Youtube 'Age of Dajjal Series'. So People Let's Wake each other up to make a better Effort to World Peace and Protect Our Human Family...And leave the killing, mayhem or violence to the special effects Fiction in the Bond Films Saga..

If anyone is intrested (no? tough, I'm telling you anyway), this has been my day so far.

Midnight: Finished watching the new Red Dwarf, listened to the Adele song, went to bed.
6:00 AM: My dog wouldn't shut up, had to get up and let him outside.
6:30 AM: Couldn't get back to sleep, decide I'll have a fry up since I'm up early, fiance complains about me waking her up when it was the dogs fault.
8:20 AM: Work. Something wrong with my motorbike and I didn't have time to try and fix it so I had to get the bus.
    1:00 PM: Lunch.
3:00 PM: Got home, future mum in law came round to talk about wedding.

And now I'm cracking open a six pack and watching LTK, then I'm gonna try and see what's wrong with my motorbike, going out later.
  • My local IMAX theater is doing a private screening at 7:15 pm on november 7 for the police officers of my city. They made a mistake and I was able to buy two tickets before they removed the representation form their web site. The guy called me and said that I was the only person that had time to buy tickets. They decided to let me see it anyway since it was their fault. I am going to watch Skyfall before the official premiere here in Canada!!! It is going to be so awkward; my father and I, watching the movie among police officers who know each other :))

I was dropping my daughter off at school and Skyfall came on the radio. It's the first time that I've heard the entire song; what a treat on Bond Day!
  • I watched From Russia with Love in sparkling 1080p thanks to my Blu-Ray boxset. Looked like it was shot yesterday. Apart from that, I have been listening to the Skyfall theme, and generally quipping bond quotes where possible. B-)
  • I'm trying to get some friends together to have a Bondathon, so far not many takers, but I keep trying :)
