As I said I use Final Cut Pro, I am trying to figure out how to get a copy of one of Brosnan's gunbarrels in a .mov file format...?
Anyway, here's a screenshot of mine. It's a 3D barrel which will pan to the right much like Brozza's. It's just an open-ended cylinder I made in Maya with a Photoshop texture wrapped around the model. The blood is also Photoshopped.

@Qbranch
i found a tutorial on how to do the blood dripping in After Effects, and it's easier than you may think it is... it's definitely one of those things that seems like it would be overly complicated... but if you know how to create masks - use the pen tool - and animate points you created with the pen tool - then thats pretty much it..
i didn't create mine in 3D - as i think that is far too much for me to grasp right now, especially when it comes to lighting... i created my gun barrel from scratch in photoshop, and just transfered the file over to After Effects, where i did some lighting to it.
the barrel moves at the pace of Brosnan's - at least that is what i attempted to time it to lol.
Also good choice with Brosnan, he had excellent pacing in his gunbarrel- flawless GB overall, IMO.
1. Create a a new solid layer
2. Switch the layer blending mode to 'multiply'
3. Use the pen tool on that solid layer, and create your drip pattern
4. Select the points, and move them a little - scroll up your timeline a little - then move the points again - and repeat that until the blood covers the entire screen.
here is a tutorial i found on how to make it.... i really didn't care for his gun barrel (too much unneeded tomfoolery i think, he makes it more complicated than it needs to be).. but he goes through the blood effect - and it does turn out looking good...

Create a new .PNG picture on Photoshop in 1920x1080, which is the best, imo.
Fill the picture with the #960000 color.
As Photoshop comes with some ready styles, click on the 'Blue Glass' Style.
Deactivate the Gradient Overlay and do a double-click on the Color Overlay.
Stay with the Multiply blend, but change the color to #232323. Change opacity to 50-70%, whichever number you prefer.
Create a Pattern Overlay, with the Last Default Style. Set Blend to Multiply, and both Opacity and Scale to 100%.
Optional: Create an Inner Shadow, with Full Red (#ff0000), Overlay. Opacity at 100%, Choke 8 and size 250.
Now, resize the Canvas Size from 1920x1080 to 1920x2160.
Drag the picture to the top, and make the Left, Right and Up edges' glowing disappear.
Save the picture as a .PNG and open it again on Photoshop. If you also want to, you may save a .PSD of the original picture.
Select a little part of the Bottom of the "blood", and go to the Edit tab > Transform > Warp.
Do CTRL+J to create a new layer in case of any mistakes.
Warp this section in curves, but not too long curving or it would look strange.
Select the original layer, and create another selection Right on the side of the previous one and do CTRL+J again.
Warp the close side to the previous layer, which you just warped, in a close curve to make it seamless, or the blood will become very weird.
Do the same in the next 2 layers, warp them and connect them.
Now, in the Original layer - the Layer 0 - delete the sections where the picture appears just below the warped blood section. So it won't become a "straight line" on them.
Merge all layers into one. If you want to, you may set opacity to 50%, but you'll be able to control it's opacity and blending options on the editor you'll use.
The final job may be something like this:
<object width="640" height="360"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/aoxJJy2DCjM?hl=pt_BR&version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/aoxJJy2DCjM?hl=pt_BR&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
Breaking this down I created the gun barrel in Blender, ripped Craig from the actual gun barrel sequence at the end of the move and cleaned it up in Photoshop and Rich Douglas kindly wrote a gun barrel music sequence especially for this project :)
Your Gun Barrel is superb!
Thank you! :D
THAT IS AMAZING! I like that gun barrel more than any they have used recently! ^:)^
Opening dots were taken straight from the film, the Gunbarrel design I made a greenscreen version of using Photoshop and went frame by frame to match the movements to fit the older films, Craig was taken directly from Spectre (used color correction and removed his gun hand with rotoscoping), blood was recreated shot by shot using Photoshop (a very time-consuming process - I can provide a greenscreen version of this so others can use it), and the music I just took from AVTAK.
