Does black tie mean black bowtie? Can you wear a normal black tie?

I think Black Tie dress requires a bow-tie.

Black tie means whole tuxedo including black bowtie. Not a suit and/or a normal tie.

  • Who else is going in alone? Could only get one ticket :(

I'm going alone but I don't care. It's Bondian to go alone anyway. Bond goes to casinos, parties and various events alone....I have a female friend waiting for me at the Montana hotel where I'll be staying anyway :-)

    I'm in seat 35

amandac72, did they move you to better seats?

Well they said they were better seats apparently where we were in restricted views and had to move us to £75 seats due to the production team? but lets hope they are better ......

If they're better seats then that's great. Should make for an all the more better movie experience.

I'm torn as to what time I should arrive. I don't want to get there too early and wait almost 2 hours for things to kick off and at the same time, I don't want to get there and have to be squeezing my way past people and into my seat. Half 6ish should be alright?

Yeah think 6.30 will be a good time aiming for that too :-)

Same, I'm a bit gutted. Hopefully there will be plenty of Bond nerds there as well to make us all feel welcome.
Btw I'm in W is anyone else is about.
  • Tickets are currently selling like hot cakes on ebay. It seems sellers have waited till the last minute to flog tickets. If people are keen on getting one that seems to be the place to go.

    Why are people such b*stards?

What do you mean? The mark up is huge, but that's the going rate now.

I just can't stand A-holes that make a living out of buying up tickets and flogging them on EBay - pricing proper fans out of the market. I'm so lucky I have tickets but in the past when I was a poor teenager I'd have done anything to get a ticket to a Bond premiere. I don't want to be sat with a bunch of elitist, rich tw@s. I want to be sat amongst people who are grinning from ear to ear about the prospect of the next 142 minutes

Very bond like, at least you get the girl. I'll be going alone also, but to the Sydney premiere.

These are two important questions for everyone who's attending the royal premiere of 'Skyfall'.

    1) I heard rumours that the music score and the actual theme song 'Skyfall' will be performed live during the movie. Can somebody confirm this? Will at least Adele sing her song 'LIVE' with a slightly altered copy of the film with an instrumental version of the main titles.

    2) I also heard rumours that there's actually a 2nd copy of 'Skyfall' going around for the bigger audiences, in which the gunbarrel sequence starts before the pre-credits sequence. So that the screener version of 'Skyfall' is actually not the final version.

I doubt the Adele rumours are true. She's quite pregnant now and apparently she's taking everything easy now, staying out of the limelight. So I don't think she'll be there for the premiere. Of course, I know no more, confirmation-wise, than you do.

Great news! I'm happy for them both. Now, UK, really make Adele's week - and ours - and get Skyfall to the top spot on Sunday.

If by any chance you have a spare ticket or two might it not be better to look after our own eg
Members of some standing rather than someone who just joined with the hope of getting their
    Hands on tickets!!
