I'd like to share my view on the track that screams bond
    Topic 001
The music I have chosen is not an obvious choice perseus and I suppose some might say well how can that scream bond?
Well there are plenty of tracks that set the pulse racing in the manner that only a bond soundtrack can manage, tracks that when u hear them can only make you smile inside at the coolnes, stylishness and sheer brilliant uniqueness that in my opinion only the great late John Barry really accomplished .
    Tracks such as
    James bond with bongos- FRWL
    007- FRWL
Bond back in action again - GF
    The wedding- YOLT
You only live twice - YOLT
Let's go get em' - TMWTGG
The man with the golden gun- TMWTGG
The names bond James bond - CR
    Inside man - QOS
    Night at the opera- QOS
These are all quintessentially Bond for me but I have chosen a different track.

It's a track I keep returning too and just can't seem to get enough of, to me it's the opitome of beautiful escapism , it haunts me I find it that beautiful. It's not a piece I can imagine in every bond film yet alone any film and I'm so greatful that's its so wonderfully unique and I do feel privileged to have listened to it and feel lucky to have watched that film.
there aren't many landmark life changing pieces of entertainment and bond has given me more than others. For me this is up there with the best of them.

Fantastic choice! I also love "Air Bond" from that album!

@thelordflasheart's response finally gave me a track to nominate for the second topic. I too hate the music playing in GE while Bond is doing his driving, and it is as much a travesty as is the Beach Boys playing in FYEO. Atrocious.
Beach Boys in FYEO?? Were you watching a fan edit? ;)

I upset the mods. Which happens to be the perfect place to start the next discussion.

003 Name the Bond Track that makes you think of a family member...

I listened to my "Best Of" collection when I visited Rome with my father in 2005. During the time, I kept replaying FRWL on my disc player. That eye, to this day, makes me think of traveling with my father.

My Dad always listened to Meeting in St. Sophia from FRWL. Very tense track. He still listens to it the odd time, so every time I hear it I think of him.

Bond's wedding music from YOLT. My mother thinks the world of it.

Anything from TLD reminds me of somebody I knew called Danny (him and his wife fostered then adopted me, RIP), because he took me to see TLD when I was just 5 or 6 (which got me hooked on Bond), and we both loved the film.

    Wow, that's striking.

Night of the Opera "QoS" reminds me of when me and my two best friends hung out on the second floor balcony of our college. for a family member...Air Bond comes to mind when I think about my Dad.

I don't know, 'For Your Eyes Only' maybe, when I'm alone with my wife?, this is a bit of a tough question? or maybe Matt Monro's From Russia With Love as my mother used to really like it. Even the lyrics of Tomorrow Never Dies remind me of one or two people I know, dirty stop outs etc. This was quite difficult actually

Sorry for joining with such delay but this looks enjoyable.
Track that screams Bond: the Bond theme, naturally, The Main theme of OHMSS, He's Dangerous from AVTAK.
Track That Belongs In Another Film: that awful final theme in Dr No.
Bond Track that makes you think of a family member: I suppose For Your Eyes Only to my father and A View to a Kill, to my mother, those are each one favorite's.
Who was dangerous in A View to a Kill ?, certainly not Bond himself, heh, that will keep me sniggering all the way to bed : - )

'He's Incapable' would of been more appropriate.. apologies to any Moore enthusiasts

    Goodnight I-)

All right, all right, so 'Golden Gate Fight' or 'Snow Job'.
Anyway, Bond was dangerous in AVTAK, he fought some old men and hanged in a rope for several time!
I don't care, I always liked that movie, although I know it's not a masterpiece.
  • 004 Name the Bond Track that helps you work/study...

At university, I would always listen to the Proppelerheads/David Arnold rendition of OHMSS when I needed to cram for a big test. To this day, I turn it on whenever I need to get a lot of work done.

    What track(s) do you use?
  • Screams Bond: 'The Name's Bond... James Bond' From Casino Royale, 'Over and Out' from OHMSS and 'Field Trip' from QoS

Belongs in another movie: Beach Boys in AVTAK mostly, I think.

Family: Theme Song to A View To A Kill reminds me of my mom, because she loves Duran Duran.

Study: Night at the Opera from QoS, Gumbold's Safe from OHMSS,

Screams Bond: This Never Happened to The Other Feller (OHMSS), Ice Chase(TLD)

They send a shiver down your spine, Intense, mysterious, with a scent of danger in it. Brilliant.

Belongs in an other movie: We Have All The Time In The World.

I know it's a classic, it's a great song, and it goes with the scenes in the movie, but I just think it's a little bit to mutch "happily ever after"-like for Bond.

    Family Member: Goldfinger

As my grandmother watched that one in the cinema and still whistles it every so often.

    Studying: Try (OHMSS), Casino(TWINE).

Soft, jazzy pieces wich perfectly capture the casino life of gambling, cheques and champagne...
  • Study: Miss Goodhead Meets Bond, Goodnight Goodnight, Try, We Have All The Time In The World/James Bond Theme Medley, Bond Meets the Girls, Mountains and Sunsets, The Wedding, Bond Meets Tania, Unauthorized Access, Blunt Instrument, Solange, Bedside Computer, Trip Aces, Vesper, I'm Yours, City of Lovers, Death of Vesper, Greene and Camille, Night at the Opera, What's Keeping You Awake, Camille's Story

    I've always felt the same.

Very comprehensive list. I'll have to borrow it for the next big project I work on.

    New Topic:

005 Name the Bond track that summarizes the way you live your life...

Is could be a score that you think is the perfect soundtrack for your everyday life, such as if you hear "The Snow Job" in your head when you do the laundry, a title song that you think defines you, you hear Eric Serra's "The Experience of Love" when you get frisky, etc.

For me, I know this will sound conceited, but I pick "Nobody Does it Better."

Not because I think I'm perfect (far from it), but morbidly I had always hoped if something were to happen to me this track would be the song my loved ones would choose to send me off to both for my love for Bond and because hopefully that is how they feel about me.

I would start my day with Mountains and Sunsets, get dressed to Field Trip. Drive to school with Ice Chase Sit in class with Gumbold's Safe go home with Tank Drive Through St. Petersburg relax at home to Majaba Club and go to bed to Twice is the only way to Live.
  • 005
The arrangement of You Only Live Twice that plays over the rooftop fight at the docks in said film... suitably epic.

Make It Last All Night - Bill Conti (featuring Rage) from For Your Eyes Only.

How this ever made into a Bond song is quite amazing. Actually listening to it, and the lyrics, makes it an, erm, risqué song.

That was the early '80s, before cultural conservatism kicked in.

Eon released a film called Octopussy! Unthinkable today.
