Just wanted this to appear on the new page :P
please no clown though
I want a big battle scene at the end
Rush doing the theme song
Gunbarrel at the start
Sam Mendes or Chris Nolan or Edgar Wright directing
Australia, Brazil and Ireland as locations
Christopher Eccleston as the villian (maybe a rebooted Blofeld?)
NO Quantum
Felix coming back
Moneypenny
A new M
M not being used as a big part of the film anymore
Some cool new gadgets
A new car (Jag, Lotus or Bentley.
And the same goes for a ski chase. You're not 007 until you've been chased by gun-toting thugs across the snow.
2. Outlandish stunt for an opening sequence.
3. The ever so lovely girls in the titles.
4. Bond-Moneypenny flirting/banter
5. M only being used to give Bond his assignment.
6. A larger role for Felix Leiter, once again working with Bond.
7. Ben Whishaw as Q making outlandish gadgets.
8. "Bond, James Bond" and "Shaken, Not Stirred"
9. Underwater fight
10. Skiing fight
11. Sam Mendes returns as director
12. Crazy villain with physical setback bent on world domination
13. Scary looking henchman
14. Bond beds at least 2 women, and will be with one of them at the end.
15. Navel uniform, Bond is a commander.
16. Fleming-based title
17. Bond 's life at home (May Maxwell?)
What I want to see is a friggin' GB at the start already. This is an iconic image tied with James Bond and has been at the very start in 90+% of the films. There is simply no better way to start a movie than being cognizant that it is a James Bond movie. Also, Craig gambling for fun, verbal sparring with the villain, and a male M. I like Dench and all, but I want the crusty Admiral back.
Nolan with Deakins woudl be... just awesome...
A skiing sequence
A tropical, underwater sequence
Wood-pannelled M's office
More of Quantum, if they can write something good (perhaps even in a PTS that was unrelated to the rest of the film)
One big stunt that is done 'for real' that gets everyone talking and becomes iconic (e.g. the ski jump from TSWLM, or the jumps on the crane sequence in CR)
Bond doing some real spying and figuring out clues
Bond using technology he finds in his environment in clever and resourceful ways (a bit like Liam Neeson's character did in the first 'taken' film)
- Alice Braga as the primary Bond Girl
- Tomer Sisley as the Villain
- Scott Adkins as the Henchman
- Helena Mattsson as the secondary Bond Girl
- Ken Stott as M
- Chris Barrie as Q
- Natalie Dormer as Miss Moneypenny
- Colin Ferguson as Felix Leiter
- Gunbarrel, at the beginning, where it should be
- Use of the Bond theme sprinkled throughout
- Title track by Caro Emerald
- An Alfa TZ-2 as Bonds personal car
The tone would be a return to Bonds thriller roots, with one main standout action sequence. There'd be some use of gadgets, but not to the extent where they would detract from Bonds brain and physicality.
I'd rather have Hardy as Bond.
Look at what they've been doing since the re-boot with CR. They are re-inventing everything in the Bond universe. If what I hearing about SF is true,
John Logan way back said James bond should always fight Blofeld that was like a year ago
Didn't you like The Dark Knight though? I mean how could you not?
Look, movies today are turning to the past to find iconic content. Comic books are perfect for this because their are so many iconic figures to use and plenty of plots to be formulated and meshed around them, but with Bond, all the old stories have already been done before and without making a direct re-make of a former movie, the only villain from the previous films that they can use is Blofeld. Logan was right because he understands the strength of the archetypal hero/villain rivalry in a story. Bond should always fight Blofeld, and with Logan penning Bond 24 on his own, I'm more confident than ever that Blofeld will be back in 2014.
Oh I did But that doesn't mean i still think Killer Croc and Deadshot wouldn't of been much better
No Blofield has been parodied to death there is no point in ever bringing him back
though this will never happen I still love the Hildebrand Rarity and would love it as the title.
Also
Emma Stone for Bond girl she can act and is my future wife so please don't say anything bad about her lol
- Although I don't want it to be "personal", I want the story to have emotional depth while maintaining a rousing, epic feel much like the Dark Knight trilogy.
- Daniel Day Lewis as the villain
- Hayley Atwell & Rebecca Hall as the Bond girls
- Back to a Casino Royale type hairstyle for Craig
- Florence + The Machine theme
- I recently became aware of the use of "numbers stations", a type of shortwave radio station characterized by their unusual broadcasts, which consist of spoken words, but mostly numbers, often created by artificially generated voices reading streams of numbers, words, letters, tunes or Morse code. They are transmitted in a wide variety of languages and the voices are usually female, although sometimes men's or children's voices are used. They have been used to communicate with spies deployed in the field and are actually still being used today, I'd love to see a plot that integrated this as it's such a retro, Cold War-esque system that is still utilized today. It would certainly mesh well with Skyfall's concept reintroducing the old with the new.
And why not make him as he is in the novels?
I would love to see if they could do this properly. A loving pastiche of the old movies.
TSWLM showed that it's possible to make the almost perfect homage, while still keeping things feeling up to date and enjoyable.
There is always the danger if they go down this route that the resulting film just feels like a tick box exercise, but I think enough time has passed for them to try and do something really 'old but new' with the series. I guess people will say that's exactly what they've done with SF, so I'll have to wait until I've seen it. But the list above (give or take a few items) would be great. Something along the lines of OHMSS perhaps, in terms of the action and locations.
Very good point.
I'd like to see them loosen up and have a lot more fun actually. I enjoy DC's performance but it's time to camp it up a bit. I think they've already done this with SF from what I've read and I'm very much looking forward to Bardem's villain.
What people forget is that the seriousness, humour, action and glamour all sat alongside each other happily in the old classic movies. I think Mendes has really tried to capture that in SF. These ingredients are not mutually exclusive as some LTK fans insist. They are the foundations of Bond and the reason it has endured as long as it has.
