The name's 25. Bond 25, or rather, it's NTTD.

Simple question, what do you want Bond 24 to be called? Bonus points for creativity.

(Mods, I searched for an existing thread, but couldn't find one)

I think it's justifiable to have a different thread for the name, but it won't break my day if this one gets closed.

Never Say Never Again 2: The Return of Sean Connery
    Octopussy: Pussy Galore's Revenge
  • If we're going with Fleming titles, Risico.

    Otherwise, I'm not sure.

Of Fleming's titles there's: ‘Risco’, and ‘Property of a Lady’ which I would like them to use. However I think they should hold off on those and do something related to shadows to reference what M was walking about in SF. Something like: ‘The Man In The Shadows’ which could be a reference to the head of Quantum, aka Blofeld.

I like the ambiguity of The Man In The Shadows, or something similar to Man of Shadows. That way, you don't know if it's Bond or a possible hard-to-track villain.
    Octopussy: Pussy Galore's Revenge

    With 008 times the fun?

    The Spectre of shadows.

    Or....

    A Spectre within the Shadows

Err... Blofeld is not Quantum's head. Blofeld is the head of SPECTRE.

    Sorry?

I'd like it to be called (in no particular order)

    Fleming's
    1. Risico
    2. The Hildebrand Rarity
    (Fleming's chapter titles)
    3. The Silver Phantom
    4. Allumeuse
    5. Valley of Shadows
    6. Zero Minus (Bond 25 can be Zero Plus [another chapter title] if indeed two parts)
    7. A Golden Day
    8. Dead Reckoning
    9. Quickness of the Hand
    10. The Eye That Never Sleeps

    My Meh Attempts:
    - The Silver Shadow
    - Shadowhead
    - Terminal Propinquity
    - A Secret Service (in the meaning of doing something for someone)
    - Tears Run Red

And the ones bolded I really like :)

Also, another good name imo, with the movie based on the novel: Doubleshot.

@Jwestbrook those are great names. Mainly, 'The Silver Shadow', 'Tears Run Red', 'Zero Minus', 'Allumeuse' < the one i've liked the most; 'The Hildebrand Rarity' and 'Dead Reckoning'.

I think 'Tears Run Red' is my favorite right now.

    Mine too.
  • If they could somehow steal the name "Devil May Care" I'd love it but they won't. I really like the title even If I didn't much enjoy the book.

I like the 'Zero Minus'/'Zero Plus' bit, concerning 'Bond 24' and 'Bond 25' being in the same plot.

It'd be cool looking back in years to come.

Quantum is the modern equivalent of Specter, and both organizations must have a leader. Whatever name the villain who run's Quantum goes buy is irrelevant, because they will by default be the new Blofeld, so you might as well use the name, or at least use Gunter Shatterhand...

I'd ideally like the next movie to be titled "Can we all stop taking about Bond 24", but I don't think they'll go along with that...

Once again, can only concentrate on one thing at a time, even though I realize I'm in the minority on this issue

Lo and behold there was even mention of Bond 25 in an above response !

Simply can't look that far ahead etc. Too much to discuss on the release we have right now once again, you understand

Look, the next two Hobbit films already have titles.

I understand it is pointless to talk about plots at this point, but titles? Your just being stiff.

Asking what the title of a Bond movie is going to be is just fun. And everyone will be wrong. It's just fun to be speculative.

I understand where your coming from, but the title really doesn't matter. It's just wishful thinking. Keeps this website alive, while hyping for the next film. IT JUST FUN. HAVE FUN.

We can only go over Skyfall so many times. It's been a month!
  • Again, in Bond 24 I’d like to see the movie seize the mood of M’s speech in Skyfall where she talks about 'the shadows' because I think it's an important metaphor for the type of world Bond lives in, and where his enemies come from. This is why I think that 'shadow' should be worked into the title in some way. Here's a list of some of the titles I thought up off the top of my head:

    The Man in the Shadows
    Day of the Shadow
    The Shadow Men
    Shadow-man
    Night-shadow
    Ice-shadow
    Shadow-fire
    Fire in the Shadows
    Eye of the Shadow
    Into the Shadows
    Shadows Never Fade
    Never Fear the Shadows
    Shadows in Daylight

    Sins of the service
    Sins for the service
    For kill and country
    Lovestorm
    Killstorm
    The man who targets death
    Shadow shot
With pleasure he comes (pun not intended)
    Command and Quantum

    Die and Die Again
  • 007 in New York.

Which would be even more great if none of the film was actually set in New York. All the supporting characters will have egg related names and there would be plenty of egg puns throughout.

Risico would work as a one word follow up to Skyfall.

    MOLD IN BOLD
    POISON OF HEARTS
MOONLIGHT (some kind of Moonraker-inspired title... But far away from Space-related scene of course... Just on the land...)

Or if you want to take Quantum back....

    QUANTUM OF TROTH
    QUANTUM OF SORROW
    QUANTUM OF FRONTIER

Those are some of my ideas...
And if you notice it, there are always two or more "O" so the director could fit it to be like CASINO ROYALE and QUANTUM OF SOLACE poster when two "O"s form OO7... Skyfall somehow doesn't have any "O" :D
