I think if we are talking Christmas films not films set at christmas, I would say films that christmas is integral to the story then it would be.

    Muppets Christmas Carol
    Gremlins
  • Gremlins, OHMSS and Die Hard.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, the greatest christmas film ever!

"A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. No other film sums up Christmas to me, such a good story. Any version will do.

You can take your jingle all the way, die hard, home alone and national lampoon the hell outta here!

Tim Burton's "Nightmare Before Christmas" animation would stay in my favourites as I adored this film as a kid !

"Love Actually" is a good mood and funny film with a huge cast, with most actors against their usual plays.

As I've discovered Pierce Brosnan as my first 007 in TND; I'd stay faithful to his filmography : "Mrs. Doubtfire" and both "TWINE" and partly "DAD".

    "OHMSS", "FYEO". Of course.
But also a french film by Guillaume Canet, if I'm right, called "Joyeux Noël"/"Merry Christmas" about WW2's soldiers making their Christmas truce a better place, even alongside the enemy. Another french one in the film serie "Taxi 2" is a great entertainment.

I don't see any others at the moment. :)

"On Her Majesty's Secret Service (mostly when it snows)
    "GoldenEye"

    On Her Majesty's Secret Service
    Love Actually
    Tim Burton's "Nightmare Before Christmas"
    Bing Crosby's White Christmas
    Scrooged
    It's A Wonderful Life
    Batman Returns
    Die Hard 2
    How the Grich stole Christmas
    The Santa Clause 1 & 2

And basicly any soppy movie they throw at you with the holidays nearby, with a few Gluhwein I am an easy mark for sentiment.

I like most of the ones above and will add Lethal Weapon. Nothing says Christmas like crazy Martin Riggs doing a drug bust in a Christmas tree lot. ;)

Based off my childhood experiences. Never got a cent back from 20th Century Fox, but had to pay some serious hospital bills before I hit my teens. :-w
