I would still love it, sure. But Eva does factor into why it is my hands down favorite Bond film, though.
Diamonds Are Forever
Moonraker
Octopussy
Die Another Day
and
Quantum of Solace.
:D
Biggest letdown for me about Royale, was another lacklustre villain in LeChiffre, been so many now in recent years going back to the Brosnan era
If the main adversary had been anything like Sanchez, or Scaramanaga, or Dr No, it would of been such a great movie and so much better, but the villain that year was lousy. Steven Obanno was the most threatening character that year for me. There is genuine tension when he threatens to take off the arm of LeChiffre's girl with that machete
Is it because you think her mouth is too small :P
No, it's the right size... for me, that is.
And that perfect resolution!
I mean it all. Bond's meeting with Yusef and his conversation with M at the end is my favorite part of the film.
I absolutely agree! Not only does it provide resolution for Bond and the Vesper subplot, but it also continues to develop Quantum and how they operate as an Organization. I thought that Yusef and his "honeypot" scheme were really cool and brought back an espionage element that had been missing in previous films.
Once again, can never love any Bond film, it's just not the appropriate word. I don't love any movie come to think about it. That word should be for relationships and family ties, not watching a favorite film you understand. Same when people say they love a favorite food. Ok, that's their perspective, but never really made much sense sometimes
And I hope they are creating a good plot envolving Quantum for Bond 24, for Christ's sake.
It depends how your priorities are sorted out. I wouldn't be the same person without films and music. They helped me and are still helping, just as much or even more than an important person would do.
I loved the relationship between Bond and Camille in QoS. They're so driven by revenge that there really isn't sexual tension or lust between the two, and the kiss they give one another at the end is an appreciation/thankful/'perhaps we could be lovers in another setting' type of embrace. I love it.
"Timothy Dalton"
They looked at me like I had two heads. "oh, we were just saying how we didn't like him."
"Oh, and Daniel Craig," I added quickly.
"Yes, he's great," they nodded.
So put me down for LTK and TND which the average punters don't seem to like. And OHMSS. I used to rave to a friend how great it was. She eventually saw it. "I thought it was silly, him up a mountain with the girls."
I do like Quantum. It's flawed but nowhere near as bad as its made out. =shrugs=
I do like TWINE. I don't get the hate for it at all.
I'm never going to like DAD thought.
Not liking Timothy Dalton. No wonder they are working checkout. Leave the heavy lifting to the people who are able to dress themselves every morning. :))
The man with the Golden Gun (sorry Kung Fu, Christopher Lee, and Asian setting made the movie interesting)
Moonraker (I don't understand the hate for that movie)
The World is not Enough (citing Denise Richard playing as a scientist is not a good reason to hate the film)
Olga Kurylenko doesn't get enough love for her potrayal of Camille, its a tough role but she pulls it off, She's certainly one of the plus points of QOS and i would love to see Camille back in a Craig Bond film down the line.
