I regret of not having been positive about it.
Very cool ;)
It's $37 million away from beating TB and becoming the highest grossing Bond film of all time, and it's $81 million away from beating 'The Dark Knight Rises' - something I never would have thought possible - and becoming the second highest grossing film of 2012.
Wow, really? I hadn't even noticed that. It took less than 1/4 the time for SF to reach that, then. That is insane.
On another note, this is what Jeff Blake (Sony vice chairman) said:
“To see a film connect with audiences is always gratifying but the success of this film is nothing short of extraordinary. After 50 years of entertaining audiences all over the world, Skyfall is the most successful James Bond film of all time.”
But, it's still $37 million behind TB. I suppose he's not speaking in inflated gross.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I look the boxoffice chart and I still can´t believe it.
Congratulations and thanks to all Bond fans worldwide. I´m thinking now in Saltzman and Cubby and can´t find words for them...
Not a single penny of that BILLION is for me, but today I´m happier than yesterday...
I wonder if this $1 billion landmark for SF will inject some more funds and moviegoers into more viewings of the film, or if it will just stay the same. I would enjoy seeing an increase.
Now lets beat Batman.
That was proven ages ago after CR came out. Honestly I didn't even think those groups were still around, I only ever hear them mentioned by people who actually like Craig.
I might still prefer Casino Royale over Skyfall but i never thought i'd see this.
Incrediable!
As for the CraigNotBond crowd, they seemed to shut up quite a bit (at least outside of their own site) once CR surpassed DAD. I can't even imagine the bitterness they must feel about SF hitting a billion dollars. Of course, they might use it to justify how they have "superior tastes" to the masses and how this puts them in the small, elite group of "true" Bond fans (in their own minds, of course).
Nobody does it better! =D>
I'll celebrate it by watching the movie one more time :)
<youtube>
Oh yes! And I heard it on the radio today. Had it on loud and sang along :)
No tah. Like I said in the Adele thread, it's as if it's been following me around. I'm sick of it now.
:O Not possible. You can't get sick of a Bond song. :P
just joking. I know that many songs out there (not Skyfall, for me) are very sickable after a long time.
