  • I think most people have hit all the things I'd like to see:

-snow scene (Come to Canada, DC!!)
-we must get Roger Deakins back
-female villain (based on my icon, I'd of course say Tilda Swinton!)
-a nod to the minimalist movement either in the poster or the opening credits (a look at what I mean here)
    -a Muse theme song

    My wishlist -

    1. A realistic plot and story that is somewhat believable to today's standards ( really am I asking too much?!)

    2. A villain that looks like a normal looking human being with cruel motives, but just as suave, smooth and sophisticated as Bond, and even physically built. Perhaps the occupation of a hitman hired by Quantum, just like Bond as by MI6. A man perhaps Bond can somewhat relate too. Every man has too eat..am I right?

    3. A villain that doesn't run around London shooting people in Government court houses while trying to kidnap an old woman (sound familiar?)

4.No kiddy gadgets , we' are living in the digital age people, the days of shooting guns coming out of the grill of a car are long behind us. If anything I suggest Bond be given a specialized high -tech Q engineered smartphone with some interesting apps thrown in to help bond out in a tough situation. Perhaps an app called, "(LastResort)" disguised with an icon image to deceive its user as a Traveling/Vacation Hotel booking application. When the app is opened, the phone detonates within 15 seconds.

5.Less quips, my god Skyfall had Daniel Craig making jokes every 10 minutes, the quips and one liners felt odd,out of place and terribly forced.

6.I hope to see the new M debrief Bond with a serious tone, and act very much in charge. Also I want to see Bond's new relationship with Mallory slowly develop into somewhat of a subtle friendship by the end of B24, instead of the writers just setting in stone a relationship structure from the get-go.

    7. Less action, more stealth. Now I really enjoyed the first 70 minutes of skyfall. I enjoyed the elevator hanging sequence with much pleasure. I enjoyed Bonds lonely lifestyle portrayed on the beach. But when Silva was introduced into the film, I felt the story, writing and whole movie became a sloppy mess. I want to see Bond in the shadows more, silently sneaking around and putting enemies to sleep. Infiltration and stealth is an area the Bond producers hardly touch basis on and they're sitting on a gold mine.

    8. More scenes showing Bond working out, I really enjoyed seeing DC doing pullups and training . I feel like this can be utilized in more films showing how Bond prepares for a job.

    9. Less women helping Bond on a mission, I'm tired of seeing Bond always having somewhat of a companion on his side, (Camille in QoS, Eve in SF) I want a throwback style, Bond being isolated on a mission, just him relying on his wits. No beautiful girl constantly besides him.

    10. A darker, gritty environment. One that utilizes darkness, the cold winter night, shadows, deceit, betrayal, silent murder, sexpionage, real drama and real consequences.

@DRESSED_2_KILL, in response to your SF hating and wishlist:

    1. 'Skyfall' wasn't realistic? Anything can be done with a computer these days.

    2. Silva looked like an alien?

    3. That doesn't sound familiar. Silva attempts to kill M in the court house in SF, not kidnap her.

    4. I'm sorry, but if I saw someone who had a car that fired machine guns out of its grill, I would be heavily impressed. Machine guns (to you) are childish, yet exploding phone apps are mature and cool? Right...

    5. I couldn't disagree more.

    6. I wouldn't mind seeing this.

    7. SF avoided everything you wanted, it seems, yet it didn't strike gold? It made over $1 billion.

    8. I doubt a few sit-ups and pushups 'prepares Bond for a mission.' He's been preparing ever since he first started training.

    9. You do realize that Bond pretty much has a female companion alongside him in every film, correct? Dalton had Pam, Brosnan had Natalya and a slight part of Xenia in GE, Wai Lin in TD, Christmas in TWINE, and Jinx in DAD. Craig also had Vesper in CR. Stretch this back to Connery: Honey, Pussy, etc.

    10. I'm not sure how QoS and SF didn't take care of almost all of these. Did you just fall asleep during them?

Silva looked cliched, and overall over-the-top as if the directors were trying too hard. Why couldn't Javier Bardem, well just look like Javier Bardem? why the wig? makeup and unnecessary gimmicks?

Yes Bond has a female beside him most of the time ,but could it hurt to isolate bond for once? now im not saying get rid of the bond girl..but rather a long separation from each other for an extended period of time.

I was hoping Skyfall would be a Casino Royale 2.0 , but I felt like I sat through 2 and a half hours of a film about the bond franchise, not a original bond film. Now that the 50th anniversary is over, I hope to see a more serious, traditional outing as Casino Royale, but I feel like the series may be heading into another Pierce Brosnan style era with cliched gimmicks...I hope I am wrong

And yes Creasy you're right about my exploding phone app,it is a bit silly, but where I am going at is, is a direction in gadgetry that is more suited for technological reasons within use of a smartphone. Rather than physical objects

A femme fatale for Craig era Bond would be great - especially if she was a physical threat.

Quantum involved or at least a world destruction plot with Bond racing against the clock.

Debriefing in M's office and flirt with Moneypenny (even though Craig and Harris have zero chemistry...grrr...I won't continue that rant!)

A lighter tone than CR and QOS - slightly more than SF.

I know it's still a trivial thing, but I would love to see Bond smoke again. But, if there was a perfect place to put it, Bond smoking while "enjoying death" was it.

1.) I would love to see Dan's Bond in the snow. The Heineken commercial got me very excited about the possibilities, seeing Bond all bundled up in the frigid cold.

2.) I want to see Bond in his flat, simply preparing for his day, and maybe showing him train at the gym or gun range.

3.) Maybe show some interaction with Bond and his MI6 colleagues as he makes his way to his briefing? Or a scene akin to TB where a threat rears its head that requires all of MI6's 00s on hand to meet and evaluate the chaos to form a plan of action? Maybe Quantum returning to the fray? Seeing Bond surrounded by his fellow 00s would be a sight. And maybe he could be singled out to have the most demanding job to show everyone he was the best for what was needed? Even seeing him train with fellow 00s and coming out the best in class would be great.

4.) I want the film to take us to locations we have yet to see before, like Canada, Dubai and Australia for examples.

5.) More growth between Bond and
Mallory as well as with Q and Eve.

6.) Maybe have Camille return, as well as Felix and Tanner.

I will add more later on...

Agreed, also agree with Creasy's post about Bond smoking, would be a nice touch and throwback to classic Bond.

@DRESSED_2_KILL, I doubt we will ever get to see Bond light up a cigarette again, and while it was only ten years ago that Bond last lit up - a cigar in Cuba - it would still be very nice to witness. Going back to the Connery era and seeing him have a cigarette when meeting with allies or relaxing with friends at dinner was a treat.

@Creasy47 What I think would be a really nice touch is if we saw a pack of opned cigarettes in Bond's flat. It would be noticable enough to see them, but not "featured". It would just be a nice subtle hint to the Bond fans.

The other thing I would mention is that EON have potentially less casting to do. They've got M, Q, Moneypenny and I wouldn't be surprised to see Jeffrey Wright back as Felix. Don't bring Camille back - she's not worth it. Bolivian Intelligence? Hmm - I found her character boring enough in QOS - let's not ruin B24. If anyone, they should bring Fields back from the dead. ;)
  • Maybe have Camille return, as well as Felix and Tanner.

A great idea, 100% agree, Bond did a favour for Camille in QoS she can repay it in 24

I agree, Bond smoking is finished, a relic of a different age.

Been thinking more on locales; i think what generally works best is a mix of high modern urban locales (and casinos) and spectacular natural environments and feats of human engineering (the satellite dish in Ge, Pyramids in TSWLM...they needn't necessarily be new), perhaps Borobodur in Indonesia for example.

On the next Bond Girl; a few more possibilities - Dichen Lachman, Sarah Roemer, Ashley Greene, Mila Kunis (can speak Russian - just saying could be useful), Emmanuelle Chriqui, Natalie Dormer, Mallika Sherawat, Laetitia Casta, Odette Yustman, Olivia Wilde, Jemima West, Nora Arnezeder, Spencer Locke, Melissa George, Elsa Pataky, Katie Cassidy or Elena Satine.

As for Bond's car, we've seen the DB5 make a return - while there should be a new Aston (One-77/Vanquish/Vantage Zagato/Virage, perhaps even a Rapide), It'd be nice to also see one of the other old cars - the DBS from OMHSS (and briefly DaF), the Bentley Mk. IV from FRWL, the BMW Z3 from Ge, the Sunbeam Alpine from Dr.No or the Bronze Lotus Espirit from FYEO). In the next few films I'd also like to see Bond meet a woman driving a red Mercury Cougar XR7.

So far, since CR, I think the Bond movies have done a good job reinventing the character(s) and taking certain hallmarks of the series and giving them an appropriated makeover, instead of recalling painful cliches.
That being said, I do feel that in all of Craig's movies they've been burdened by emotional heavyweight plots to help drive the story and add a sense of depth to the series, which is by no means a bad thing but with Dench's M gone, Vesper's impact now a mere memory served as a life lesson and things somewhat looking to return to a more familiar tradition; I expect and would like to see the depth and class reintroduced in CR and ferociously carried on by SF to continue and for the series not to backslide into eye rolling cliche.
What that also means is, I'd like to see Bond's relationships with women in particular to have slightly more focus, in that, I'd like to see a bit more of the depiction of "disposable objects" or at least Bond having a slightly more cavalier attitude when it comes to women and sex but handled in a way that highlights (without being too heavy handed and pretentious) sex for Bond as part of the excesses of his life, which not only conveys the fun and desirable side of wanting to be Bond but also highlighting Bond's character as a man who clearly isn't the bastion of having excellent moral fiber and may serve to be problematic in some capacity. I can't stress enough at how such scenes would need to be handled delicately as opposed to filming such scenes to fill a, 'Bond bangs a chick quota'.
I watched the movie, Flight today and it was alright. It was a decent character study of a man enslaved by his addictions and the direct and indirect consequences it has on his life and the people around him. The opening scenes would have been perfect as an opening to a Bond film, if it were toned down a bit. In fact, it reminded me of the scenes in TND where Brosnan is at Cambridge or Oxford with the Danish professor. Up till now, I do feel that Craig's seduction and sex scenes are rushed and all too brief and I think giving him the sort of "sexposition" I'm calling for can open up the character more without having to necessarily pit him against yet another massive emotional turmoil.

my wish is simple - that Naomi Harris has long straight silky hair in B24 like the latest pictures MI6 just published of her , rather than the curly perm bush style haircut she had in skyfall.

I thought her hair style in Skyfall was disastrous.

I echo much of the aforementioned. Especially -

Bring back Jeffrey Wright as Felix
    Quantum related plot
  • I'd actually like to see them build a bit of a relationship between Tanner and Bond like in the novels.

wouldn't mind seeing Bond wearing gloves more doing more investigating, especially would love to see the next outing take place in the cold, perhaps a snowy / grim setting similar to the skyfall Heineken commercial and ending of QoS .

I imagine Bond trudging through the cold snowy night , dressed in all black wearing a long black trench coat with a silenced walther ppk firmly gripped in his hand while on the streets of Serbia hunting a terrorist , while suddenly he hears a scream from a desolate alleyway leading into a run-down strip club. Bond carefully peaks inside the back-door to the club , pockets his Walther inside his coat and procedes through the kitchen area, the Serbian cooks yell and shout at Bond to get out of the kitchen, Bond nods in agreement preceding to the sitting area, Bond sits down, pulls out a cigarette, lights up and orders a Martini from the oncoming waitress. While sitting Bond notices a man, with long black hair violently shouting at a stripper, the man is acting like a fool and clearly thinks he owns the place. While acting foolishly the man receives a phone call on his cell, "Hello, Yes Milo! I understand..." Bond immediately takes observation to the man. Milo is the Serbian terrorist Bond has been trying to locate. The man hangs up, and forcefully bullies one of the clubs strippers to the club's private booths. Carefully Bond ashes his cigarette, finishes his drink and walks to a hallway towards the club's private booths. "Stop". Bond is approached by a somewhat bulky male figure. "Your Not permitted to enter this hallway sir, please turn around". Bond quickly pulls his walther out, and silently says with a firm tone to the bouncer, "Lead the way,". The bouncer is scared , finally they both reach the end of the hallway , Bond looks around his surroundings and says softly to the bouncer, "Which Booth is being occupied by fellow with the long black hair who is a big mouth?" The bouncer points to Booth 14 . A person walks out of Booth 12, unfortunately its the club owner and he shouts. furiously "WHY ARENT YOU AT YOUR POST LEWIS!". Bond knows he must act, immediately Bond pistolwhips Lewis (Bouncer) , ARGHHHH shouts the bouncer. The owner pulls a gun on Bond, Bond shoots first and brings the slow dueling owner to his knees. Suddenly Booth 14's doors swing open due to all the ongoing commotion. The long black haired man see's Bond and instinctively knows he is a spy. Bond shouts, "STOP" and fires a warning shot. The stripper still in Booth 14 screams in terror. The long black haired man makes a run for it, knocks down all tables and patrons in front of him causing panic inside the club. Bond chases after him into the cold, dark snow filled winter night onto the streets of Serbia chasing the long black haired man who is possibly heavily connected with Bond's target Milo.

    The PTS ends .

He's finally figured out that if he has the same opinions on every account then we'd know it's him.

The way they type (sentence structure) is similar and that PTS seems like something he'd come up with.

I could just be paranoid and completely wrong so in that case I'm sorry Oligarch. But if you are who I'm talking about, I'll say it again for the millionth time, go away, we don't want you here.

I felt the odd man out for a second there. I can't bring it up or the powers that be get angry, even if I am almost certainty correct in what I (we) have surmised.

    And to get on topic:

*I would love to see Dan in a tux again, and just have it be a staple for his Bond in every film to wear one.

*I would love to see Camille and Felix return in some capacity.

*I want to see some gears turning with Quantum, either in the foreground or background, depending on how they plot Bond 24.

*I would love to see Dan's Bond in a snowy setting, like we saw a glimpse of in the Heineken commercial. That got me excited for the possibilities immediately.

*I would love to see Bond in his flat or simply training, more preparation before the missions in some way, shape or form.

*I think a ballroom fight scene with Dan in a tux would be cool, and you could have tons of great action bits take place, like him fighting on top of and over tables, using instruments as weapons, throwing people over the bar, smashing heads in a piano and so much more, all while a big band play this tune:

*I would also like to have another big character defining moment happen in Bond 24. These moments are what make Dan's films each their own spectacular singular adventure while still being a part of a continuity. CR had his story as a rookie who lets down his guard and falls in love. QoS has him dealing with betrayal and his feelings for Vesper as well as life in general. And finally, Skyfall has him matured into the agent we all know and love while he proves his supreme loyalty to his country and boss and faces the very past that he tries to keep hidden. In each film is Bond is always changing or learning news things about himself, the world around him or what have you that make it all so interesting to see what he does next. I would love to see one such moment again in Bond 24. As I have said, think if he only had Yusef to depend on to find Quantum and he had to work with the man that sparked Vesper's betrayal and the chain of events that led to her suicide? The possibilities are endlessly juicy and sprout amazing dialogue for the film.

Anyway, just a few ideas for now.

A few wishes today 2 not nesscarily bond 24 releated but definitly craig's bond related

    1. Bond 24 being released in 2014, There is a nasty rumor of bond 24 being pushed back to 2015 and i would prefer it to remain just that a rumor

    2.not nesscarily bond 24 related

A bond novel in the style of the Craig films the last new bond novel i loved was Benson's The Man with The Red Tattoo, Devil May care was annoying (Bond DOESN'T SMOKE OPIUM!!!!) Carte Blanche promised to have everything I wanted (A darker Craig esque bond thrilling pace Bond in the modern world a great plot) I have no idea what book Deaver was talking about cause Carte Blanche didn't deliver at all on that promise... Here's hoping for Boyd (though his book is a time period which if Fleming were alive today and writing the only "period" Bond would be in would be the current period but C'est la vie)

    3. Also not nesscarily bond 24 related A great bond video game Quantum of Solace Goldeneye and Bloodstone had a lot of promise and were extremly fun and in my opnion had the Raven Bond game been finished and released in 2011/2012 Activision would still be holders...sigh I just want an amazing Craig as bond Video game is that really so hard!

    4. Back on to bond 24 3 directors I would absolutley love

Jaume Collet-Serra (Unknown) Personally I loved this movie and felt it was a great thriller suspense film that Bond could use a bit more suspense

Tom Hooper I haven't seen his work but people whose opnion's trust say he would deliver a great bond film so he has my vote

and finally Pierre Morrel (taken) Yes the guy who gave us ass kicking Liam Neeson I really think he would be amazing directing a bond film.

    5. Script by Christopher McQuarrie John Logan and David Goyer....... Yeah it's a dream but come on a bond film with as a mixture of The Usual Suspects, Batman Begins/The Dark Knight, and Skyfall really I can't be the only person drooling at this idea.

    6. Locations
    Swiss Alps
    New York City
and honestly somewhere in Eastern Europe

that is all for now more to come soon :D

    1. Brosnan style gunbarrel at opening
    2. Titles made by Kleinman
    3. Music by David Arnold
    4. Aston Martin as Bond's car. Not DB5. An invisible, please. We will live in 2014, not 2002.
    5. Ice chase. Like TLD's.
    6. My country, Lithuania featuring
    7. Russia in negative side
    8. NO BLOFELD
    9. Meheux cinematography
    10. No stupid scripts, like in Skyfall
    11. Martin Campbell would be good
    12. Bond with the girl at the end. But not in bed! Something like TLD, GE, LTK.
    1. The gunbarrel back at the beginning of the film, and for the original gunbarrel to be used, not this new (and much worse) computer generated graphic. Bring back the old Maurice Binder matte painting of the gunbarrel.

    2. I would like to see Quantum back, as the main villains.

    3. Flip the roles. Usually in Bond films, he is interested in the Bond girl from the start, and she slowly comes around to him. I would like to see this in an opposite light, so the Bond girl shows much more interest in him during the first half of the film, where as he doesn’t, and as their relationship progresses through the film he starts to like her more. It doesn’t need to be in a Bibi-Dahl style (see FYEO) but it could be subtly done with some witty dialogue and a really good actress.

    4. Felix Leiter back, preferably played by Jeffery Wright, not just to keep Craig-era continuity, but because he is a pretty good Felix.

    5. A love/hate relationship between Q and M, always bickering and never quite seeing eye to eye.

    6. For Locations, I would like to see Bond in modern day Japan, maybe Paris, somewhere nice and exotic.

    7. A baddie who is a physical, as well as intellectual match for Bond. I wasn’t a proper epic hand to hand fight, similar to Batman and Bane in TDKR, where they literally kick seven shades of sh- out of eachother.

    8. The Aston Martin DBS back, or a modern day Aston, in a super brutal car chase.

    9. Having Mendes back would be nice, but not essential. I would ideally want either Danny Boyle or Chris Nolan, but those are both pretty unlikely.

    10. Thomas Newman back to do the score. If not, then James Newton Howard, Clint Mansel or Alexandre Desplat. Definately do not want David Arnold Back.

I thought the Brosnan gunbarrel was a good modernisation of the Binder GB. I'm really not a fan of the new one at all.

Poor DC, his films have earned tons of money and Casino Royale and Skyfall were critically acclaimed too, he's an extremely popular Bond, but yet, he still hasn't had a good, traditional gunbarrel.

Even the CR one (which I thought was pretty cool and original, woking it into the title song. I think the GB works best as the opening to the PTS but that was much better than just sticking it at the end) had an ugly design imo.

Since after seeing the ending of Skyfall and Bond is now back to the way we are used to seeing :

    1. The Gunbarrel back at the start of the movie, this i didnt really care about but it would nice to have it back at the start of the film.
2, Gimmick Villian or Henchman (Dr.No,Oddjob,Jaws for example)
    3. Since Q is back, why not the return of some RM era style gadgets.
    4. Licence To Kill's level of violence should return, i dont see how this was a big deal on the first place since nearly all of the Bond films had a gory/violent moment in it.
    5. I may get some heat for this suggestion but how about a sidekick for Bond, and a i dont mean a Bond girl. Maybe another agent or an agent in training sent to work with Bond.

    1) New James Bond actor (sorry, Daniel!).

    2) Bond 24 title - SHAKEN NOT STIRRED

    3) Less emphasis on M - it's a James Bond film, not a M film!

    4) Gun barrel at the start and with the correct opening gun barrel theme over the white circles: Da da daa... Da da daa...

    5) A number of 00 agents help Bond in the final encounter with the villain.

    6) No 'revenge' plot or subplot.

    7) Australia or New Zealand location for a segment of the film.

    8) A fight on the London Eye Wheel.

    9) A ticking bomb scene or some other item about to go off, gas bomb, nerve toxin etc.

    10) Main villain working for big terrorist group - SPECTRE, QUANTUM, etc.

    11) James Bond looking clean - no grey beard, no oil marks over face and suit (see QOS!), no stubble.

    12) Films ends with no James Bond theme playing. The end should be the opening title theme being replayed or a different song.

    13) A more techno/drum and bass/dance element to the score. Perhaps orchestral and dance fusion soundtrack. Something similar to The Matrix trilogy score.

    14) No film critics hyping it as the "best Bond ever!" because this is just cliché talk and bit disingenuous.

Oh and to add to my earlier post, why not the return of some John Barry style music? Just because he is dead doesnt mean they cant use the music he wrote. I cant be the only one that wants the "007" theme from FRWL to make a comeback
