May be a good time to bring it up. Does anyone know why Bill Conti didn't score Rocky IV?

Anything by Zimmer, Williams or Horner for starters.

Those bagpipes in Braveheart are a thing of beauty, and no other instrument could have fitted the emotive tale of the film better. A real Horner masterpiece. @};-

Submitted for your approval: three of the finest scores ever, which have been mostly overlooked in this discussion but which deserve serious consideration for anyone's all-time TopTen list:

    The Mission (1986) Ennio Morricone
    Doctor Zhivago (1965) Maurice Jarre
The Pink Panther (1963) Henry Mancini

And for my money the best piece ever composed for cinema: "The Ecstasy of Gold" from TG,TB&TU. Mr. Morricone can buy his way into heaven with that one tune!

I hear you on Braveheart, @TrueMiracle85. Just a downright gorgeous score. I love how emotive bagpipes are, and it is synthesized so beautifully, like in Horner's Titanic score, another beauty.
