  • My wife and I were on honeymoon in Jamaica a few years ago so we visited the Beach used in Dr No and also had a trip to Goldeneye. Also we're heading to Berlin in March so i'll be visiting checkpoint charlie.

    Let me have a quick rattle through film by film;

    DN - er London?
    FRWL - St Sofia Mosque, the underground cistern, Sirecki station.
    GF- The Fountainbleu, Swiss mountain roads (although not the exact location).
    TB - Silverstone
    YOLT - Hong Kong - although was any of the film actually shot there?
    OHMSS - number 1 on my to do list is Piz Gloria and the black run with John Barry on the IPod.
    DAF - South Africa, Skinny Bridge, Circus Circus, the Tropicana.
    LALD - NY, Bourbon St, the bayou.
    TMWTGG - The Peninsula hotel, Macau, Phang Na.
    TSWLM - Austria and Scotland but theyre not actual locations. A poor showing there.
    MR - LAX, Venice, Tikal.
    FYEO - Cortina
    OP - Checkpoint Charlie
    AVTAK - Ascot, Eiffel Tower and the rive gauche, Fishermans Wharf, City Hall, GG Bridge.
    TLD - Rock of Gibraltar, Schoenberg, the Prater wheel, Tangier.
    LTK - Hemingway House, the church in Key West, Cancun.
    GE - The dam bungee is 2nd on my to do list, Monte Carlo casino, Dvortsovaya Ploschad, St Isaaks cathedral.
    TND - Oxford, Hamburg, Bangkok.
    TWINE - MI6, The Dome, Eilean Donan Castle, Istanbul.
    DAD - Hong Kong, Havana (but not Cadiz so this doesn't count), Westminster Bridge, Iceland.
    CR - Prague, Karoly Vary, Venice.
    QOS - Siena.
    SF - Grand Bazaar, Vauxhall Bridge, Trafalgar Sq and National Portait Gallery, Macau, Charing Cross station, Westminster station, Whitehall.

    Actually, the Nevada dessert subbed in for the South Africa scenes believe it or not.

    So far, only Meteora (FYEO) and Glen Etive (SF). Siena this summer, though.

    BTW, I think movie locations have the wrong location of the arch in Siena the DBS drives through. It's at a three way junction between Via Sant'Agata, Via Fontanella and Via Giovanni Dupre.
  • Always enjoy the door on Westminster Bridge Brosnan used in DAD to access the abandoned station whenever I walk down the southbank.

    Pretty much decided on visiting Shanghai very soon purely on the back of Skyfall.

    Just a couple of places: Venice and Siena.

    Of countries also Portugal (but not Estoril) and Madrid but not the countryside as in FYEO.
