The 'actor' playing Yuri Gagarin in FRWL ,as Bond asks if the clock is right in the Russian Embassy, running and waving his hands above his head as the bomb goes off - hilarious!

I'm sorry? Is that his character name?

Seems a pretty demeaning way for such a legend to see out his days - stamping visas in the embassy in Istanbul.

I'm pretty sure this didnt happen to Neil Armstrong or even Michael Collins!

Nothing recently, but moments that I've noticed during previous viewings of Bond films include:

-YOLT: Blofeld's cat spazzing out during the climactic battle.

-GF: The random dude standing behind Goldfinger aboard the airplane at the end of the film (who somehow ends up unconscious on the deck).

Those plastic "bodies" bouncing around on the floor of the volcano during the climax of YOLT

OHMSS the final scene is enacted on the same road that Bond and Tracy first met in the PTS

He's a look-a-like for Gagarin, and he's sat down waiting for a visa and the man at the desk calls out for 'Gagarin' just before the explosion. Another little joke put in by the film-makers at the time, like the stolen painting in Dr No's lair.

That is one hell of an improvement after his solution of extermination in DN with his shoe! I love how Barry's tune mimics his frantic pounding in that scene, it gets a grin out of me every time. :))

The nudey lady picture in the submarine in the TSWLM pre-titles - never noticed it - now I always notice it!
  • In GoldenEye, right at the beginning when we first meet Boris & Natalya I noticed something new

When she figures out the 'KNOCKERS' password, the boobs on her cartoon figure on the computer screen inflate like balloons! Blink and you'll miss it- right when she says 'You're such a geek'
  • I just noticed one last night in SF - when Bond takes his pills before going to the Scorpion bar, his Turkish lover is watching him in the bathroom mirror as he leaves.

Really? I have to check that. I did notice there is a bottle of Flormar nail polish in the bathroom stand (cheap turkish makeup brand=extreme attention to detail).

Noticed for the first time last night Michael G Wilson's cameo in Octopussy - on the boat that Bond climbs aboard when he sarcastically quips "no ma'am, I'm with the economy tour".
  • (mischievously) And Timothy Dalton appearing in the casino scene in Never Say Never Again...

One thing I'd never noticed before (though I'd seen the movie a hundred times) was in LALD. When I saw it in the theater recently, I noticed the tarot card that Bond shows to Rosie Carver (right before her death), the backside of it has a design that reads 007.

Ha! Bond wearing sandals in TB on the way to have lunch at Largo's.

    Don't you mean Norman's Tune?

He's the driver of the gas truck the bomber in Miami uses to try and blow up the plane.

Really? That's him? Wow! I never recognized him. Isn't the driver bald?

Probably the reason why Campbell is always wearing a cap.

I'm watching Skyfall for the third time (second on DVD), and I just noticed that the music that plays when Bond jumps onto the bottom of Patrice's elevator (in Shanghai) sounds an awful lot like it could have come from any part of Chris Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy.

I think the whole world noticed that first time round.

Johnson and Johnson from Die Hard are both in Licence To Kill. There's obviously Davi and then the bloke who played Hawkins was the other Johnson.

Huge fan of both films but for some reason it never clicked in my head that the actor playing Hawkins was also in Die Hard. He's also pretty good in The Exorcist 3.

Barry didn't score DN, but I agree on the trantula scene. Love that bit.

I don't often catch Bond music (besides the main theme) until the second time around.

Just noticed another Heineken plug in Skyfall I didn't notice in 8 viewings at the cinema! During the motorcycle chase in the Pre Title Sequence, shortly after M says "we cannot afford to lose that list" and Bond says "yes ma'am", we see Patrice have to stop abruptly when a van blocks his path before he then decides to go up the stairs instead. Just at this bit there are some wooden slightly dusty looking crates on the left of the screen with "Heineken" plastered over each of them! Admittedly a VERY discreet plug as I only just noticed them!

Apologies. Shows how knowledgable I am Bond music wise. :\">

Some musical details I noticed watching SF at home:
    1. There are some absent cues in the album, when Bond gets off the elevetor at Shanghai and when he frees himself from Silva's men (including the Bond theme)
    2. They used the beginning of "Someone Usually Dies" when M arrives at her flat.
    3. "Grand Bazaar" is used when Bond arrives at the Shanghai building.

Interesting. I spotted what I thought was the "M theme" (as you could call it) a few times.
  • One thing I noticed while rewatching Skyfall is that the two lion statues in Mallory's office in the beginning of the movie are on his desk at the end. :)
