Better make that 3. TB is the better film in every way. It has all the elements in all the right places and there's no artsy fartsy delusions. It just is what it is, a Bond film, one that drags a bit here and there.
Could not agree with you more, Fiona really does it for me. As for the underwater sequences being tedious at the end @Rogertheclown, I disagree. They are only slow because they are under water. The scale and scope of that fight was a great attempt to capture what Fleming wrote in the book, and I think its one of the best action sequences in the series. That's something I wish newer Bond movies had more of, you know the commando vs the henchmen battle like you get in GF and TB and OHMSS.
Thunderball is definitely Connery's best, but the film has pacing issues, and the underwater sequences can be underwhelming.
Skyfall has a bit stupid plot.

Add me into the hat for this as well. TB is not my favorite Connery film, but all of the Connery Bonds from the 60's set the bar so high. Skyfall perhaps is more ambitious in it's theme's. But just because a film is filled with more metaphors and subtexts, doesn't automatically give it the upper hand. TB maintains the Bond tropes and accels with flying colours at that. <b>TB</b>

A great line. Bond should have replied that "It worked on my last mission" referring to Ms. Galore. :))
But it must be said that Skyfall has some immaculate dialogue, some of the best in the series.
Both are good anyway.
