  • Cubby passed on during the following summer before Tomorrow Never Dies had even got off the ground.

Have to say that TND did have a very good tune, said that before, and I seem to dislike the Goldeneye Turner effort more each time I hear it

Sheryl Crowe was probably the last time there was a decent theme intro for Bond , if you take the Cornell tune out of it, at least on a 'Bond diva' level.

didn't really go downhill as you put it since GE, I thought TWINE was a better picture, at least for Brosnan and Casino Royale was a fun ride even if I fail to recognize the next Bond entry more often than not

Don't often talk about the Garbage effort from TWINE, If I think about it now i'm in two minds as to whether I love it or hate it, it's a vast improvement on some others around the time but I still think it's lacking something vital.

I mentioned the sexually implicit images of OP earlier...

But my personal favorites have to be:

YOLT: I love the look of this with the Japanes imagery; Binder does an exceptional job-my favorite of his works

FRWL: Colour projection and credits on belly dancer: Simple, yet effective

Runner up: Dr. No - this looks incredible for 1962 - "groovy" indeed

    Wrong thread @JBFan626
  • Connery : Goldfinger

Moore : Live And Let Die (THE BEST)

    Dalton : License To Kill

Brosnan : GoldenEye ( Great intro)

Craig : You Know My Name

Sean Connery: Goldfinger without question, although Thunderball is good too

Moore: Such a close call, but I'm going to give it to 'Nobody Does It Better' by a hair. 'Live and Let Die' is more in tune with the music I listen to and is also a phenomenal song, but something about 'Nobody Does It Better' gets me every time. A special mention needs to go to 'A View to a Kill' as well; Moore had the best title songs

Dalton: Neither of them are great, but I'll give it to License to Kill

Brosnan: Would've given it to k.d. Lang's 'Surrender', but as it is a MAIN title song thread I will give it to 'The World Is Not Enough'. Honestly, GE, TND and TWINE are just about as good as each other; DAD is the sore thumb

Craig: 'You Know My Name' for sure, one of my favorite Bond songs

I must have been half asleep when I made my last post (laughs). What I should have said is that the theme songs have been less superior to their predecessors since Goldeneye with the exception of The World Is Not Enough. I would say the same about the films, but since and including Goldeneye with the exception of Casino Royale which is a good film. This is just my opinion of course.

TD - TLD (as much as i loved licence TLD had a better theme)

  • Connery - Oddly I'm partial to the one that wasn't used, Mr Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang, but I'll plump for the haunting You Only Live Twice

Connery: YOLT, then Matt Monro's FRWL. Am I the first to admit I like NSNA?
    Lazenby: OHMSS, then WHATTITW
Moore: AVTAK, then perhaps LALD (although I do enjoy Lulu's fiesty MWTGG)
Dalton: LTK, closely followed by TLD
Brosnan: GE, although I am quite fond of TND and Surrender
Craig: YKMN. SF has grown on me a lot, but YKMN is more dynamic
