That has been on my list of must sees. Would you recommend it?

Considering it is Mitchum, I'll surmise you do. B-)

I do. When Mitchum & Film Noir meet, you can't really go wrong.

Cool, I will definitely give it a watch in the future. I didn't see your response to this and I asked you the same question in the Last Movie You Watched Thread. Apologies... :\">

Just bought the Ultimate edition of YOLT. Haven't seen it in 3 or 4 years.
Time to feast on OTT 60's Bond.

And if you buy the UK R2 DVD (though i'm not sure if other regions have this on thier disc), it has the 'Robert Mitchum: Reluctant Star' documentary. You could probably find it on youtube, but it's still a nice extra to watch after the film.

Well, as far as these next 2 1/2 hours are concerned, my life is dedicated to Skyfall.

Take me in your warm embrace, oh blessed one!

I will be sure to gush about it afterwards. :!!

Received North By Northwest on Blu Ray via Amazon this morning (going through a bit of a craze at the moment since I brought my TV). Picture is brilliant given that the film is well over 50 years old

Other Blu Rays I've brought recently
    -Jurassic Park Trilogy
    -Scarface
    -Se7en
    -Die Hard boxset (1-4)
    -and of course...Skyfall

I have been trying to find NBNW everywhere on Blu-ray! It is just another case where you can't get it anywhere but on Amazon, I guess.

Other hard ones for me to find:

    Casablanca
    Citizen Kane
    The Maltese Falcon
    The Third Man
    Sherlock (series 1 &2)

Bought that myself recently North by Northwest. If its the 50th anniversary edition, it has some excellent documentarys. Agreed the picture is superb considering its over 50 years old.
  • Just unwrapping Bond 50 on bluray its alot tougher than expected which is good. Just purchased Skyfall on bluray also to complete the collection. 50 years of greatness in one rather nice looking set :-)
  • I just bought SKYFALL!
    Finally availible in Germany too.
  • Skyfall is slowly growing on me :-) it does look fantastic on bluray.
  • Just got HOUSE and YOJIMBO/SANJURO during Criterion's sale yesterday.
