^Once again gents, Naughty Dog is not a publisher and neither is Rocksteady. It is a dream to have one of them make a Bond game but a realistic option like Ubisoft is what I really want. Ubisoft Montreal would make a killer Bond game

I saw some gameplay footage of Watch_Dogs a couple of days ago, and said 'Alright, now I know who I want to get the Bond licence!' So yes, bring on Ubisoft!

I agree. And Ubisoft really give an effort and polish their titles from what I have seen. That would be a nice change from Craptivision.

My only problem with Ubisoft stems from the "Ezio Trilogy" of Assassin's Creed games. I like the story progression across Assassin's Creed II-Brotherhood-Revelations, but the big problem is the areas. They all look beautiful, but they all look the same to me. I'd expected that, going from II to Brotherhood, because they both take place in Italy, but going from Rome in Brotherhood to Istanbul in Revelations honestly felt like I was going from one city to the same city with different lighting effects. That's my only problem if Ubisoft gets the Bond gig, that they'll just make all the areas look the same.
  • That's one of my problems with Brotherhood. Although I liked the story and characters, the setting and atmosphere were too similar to the second game.

I thought Istanbul was fairly different. The architecture was different, you had the domes, the whole atmosphere was different (you had people in burkas and turbans, gypsies instead of prossy's, the music was different, etc).

And to be fair they changed things drastically for the new one.
  • I have always wanted an open world Bond game in the style of GTA or even Far Cry 3.

They could set it in a fictitious Region/city, but it would have to include many of the buildings and locations from the films. Such as the Casino Royale and the Mi6 building.
It could have Small islands included as well such as San Monique(LALD) and Scaramanga's island lair(isle of Phuket). Even Buildings such as Drax's Mansion and Zoran's mansions/stables could be included.
The vehicles could be one of the best parts of the game, just think of ALL the cars from the movies being available and the different speed boats (one with a hang glider attached maybe :)) )
Little Nellie!!, how cool would that be!!
An absolute masterpiece of a Bond game COULD be made if only somebody would have the guts to do it. What better time than now when the non-bonds fan are taking such an interest. Huge potential but alas we will probably get another poor COD FPS rip off.

I don't think so. The iPhone, iPad and all those gadgets are great for portable, quick, one-level-and-I'm-done-for-now gaming, same with the PSP, Vita, DS and 3DS, but for quite a while, I think, hardcore gaming will be done on the consoles, and I'd prefer that. The WiiU will be bridging the gap, but I'll wait until I see some better console exclusives before I sign off on it.

The was a 007 ios game, a sort of rpg where you fight opponents and select moves. It wasn't too great.

As for a Bond game in 2013, what with the new hardware launches, everyone will get lost amongst that, especially the lesser blockbuster games. Give PS4 and XBox 3 a year to bed in before.
  • I doubt there will be another 007 game by the end of the year. Activision just recently gave up the license for Bond, and I haven't heard anything since. Really, I didn't mind most of their games (Legends is the only "bad" one of the bunch), however, they were nothing spectacular. If there is a new 007 game for consoles coming out by Q4, it will be just as bad if not worse, than legends.

I'm just glad Activision aren't making them anymore.

QOS was pretty poor and bland, Bloodstone was fun but had a terrible story, Goldeneye on Wii was a crap Call Of Duty clone that replaced Brosnan, butchered the film and unlike the n64 game didn't have the gameplay to justify that. Goldeneye Reloaded I didn't play but it just looked like the same game but in HD and 007 Legends looked even worse than the Goldeneye remake because it was butchering 6 films, not one.

I'm glad EON finally saw sense and realised that they could actually be making lots of money with the videogame licence as long as they give it to a developer who gives a shit.

It's kind of sad when you think about how we went from critical acclaim and Willam Dafoe in a Bond game to bad sales, terrible reviews and not even the current Bond actor giving his voice.

I like QoS apart from the bit when you have to chase after the bomb maker and press all them buttons (confusing) Bloodstone great game apart from what was the plot? Dont get the remake of about 20 different Goldeneyes 007 Legends was ok but agree with you about the voice thing but didnt like EA because they did it in 1st person and I like it in 3rd person (thats why Legend was harder)
