EA only had one mistake, and that was making GERA. First, the tile was misled and the game was not even a Bond Game (thus it was built under 007 license). The main character looked like a pussy, and he calls himself ruthless. Daniel Craig's Bond calls himself soft and he's still tough, can kill GoldenEye with his little finger by just yelling BANG!

But, EA did professional and admirable job with NF and EON. They could have made their own "GoldenEye 007" by giving the title better name "James Bond 007: GoldenEye". I think EA's Casino Royale was going to have the same ID-Tech 3 engine, which was used for EON and AUF (not to mention, as well as for the cancelled PC version of TWINE). I wish EA had the license back. Because, Activision will make another COD game which is entitled "Call of Duty: James Bond 007 Edition, Part 3" (if the game was FPS).

I agree with you for the storyline, specially the climactic finale where Bond fights a robot controlled by Red Grant. But, the gameplay was awesome, really. It was the same as EON.

I'm a huge fan of EoN, and was excited as hell for FRWL, but the gameplay in FRWL was a notch below that of EoN. Especially the driving, it was terrible. It was a very poorly constructed game that seemed like they made an extremely early cut of the game, forgot about it for a while and then just decided to release it.

If Activision could bring the exciting elements from call of duty (yeah yeah, I know) games, similar like the Bondian things done in a few call of duty games, like mountain climbing, snowmobile / bike / car chases, diving sequences etc in their Bond games, then I'd be a happy fan.

Those were previously used potentially by NOLF and its sequel. Monolith could really make a good Bond game if anyone remembers how NOLF games and Contract JACK (if anyone played) were cool. There were snowmobile driving, diving sequences, surviving heavy assaults, discovering your route to the finale by yourself without tracking anything with a map like COD's. Like in GE64 and its sequels such as TWINE, AUF and NF, not to mention the third-person shooters EON and FRWL.

Guys, here's a blurb for the new GoldenEye Reloaded. It could be a sequel to 2010's GoldenEye 007, I think.

"Alec Trevelyan's death may have delayed the strike, but his plans are still carried by his closest friend in his organization. Looking for justice, they battle the corruption in the wrong way, which caused Trevelyan to die. MI6 intelligence claims that GoldenEye weapon hasn't been found in the crash site, where it was sank down in Nigeria. Soon thereafter, Janus organization's threats have begun, Aragon Optimus, the current leader of the terrorist organization now owns the stolen GoldenEye weapon, and an evidence shows that there is another satellite from the same brand of the Nigerian exists. James Bond is called once again for the mission. His objective is to stop this new operation called "GoldenEye Reloaded", stating that the same inhuman element will take place with different but far more horrifying utilities".

    What do you think?

if elliot carver shows up[ I'm driving to activision and saying really you can't just take the time and effort to make a decent bond game on your own!

sigh I can;'t believe I'm gonna say this I hope we get a bond 23 tie in with the name of the film even though it will be rushed at least it won't have goldeneye in the title

    where is this blurb located?

It's my blurb. I've wrote it yesterday. Don't worry there is NO Elliot Carver.

    what locations would u have?

on a side not i always felt the Brosnan films would of been stronger had Janus been allowed to develop.

I also have some locations if you want...

Paris, Argentina, Venice (as it has dark memories for Bond), Netherlands, Miami (I came up with this location when I was watching Burn Notice, my fave TV series), South Africa, Monte Carlo (mirroring the original GoldenEye film, with different elements).

It's a re-release of last years game for PS360. Screenshots here. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=435358&page=5 The total overhaul of the graphics is a nice surprise.

Great news and it's turned out to be the most likely option. Now, this should be a good game if the Wii version was any indication.

I'll looking forward to a very special nostalgia trip in November.

My biggest complaint with the GE for Wii game was how it controlled. I like the Wiimote for stuff like Mario Galaxy, but I HATED it for a FPS. I may buy this on the cheap after its out for a few months, but I hope this isn't the only game this year Bond-wise. I really was hoping for a game that improved on BloodStone, and wasn't just a rehash of last years game.

Despite what anyone said about the capabilities of the Wiimote and Nunchuck support for GoldenEye, you really need the Classic Controller Pro to get the most out of the game.

I was really hoping that the official name of this would just be Goldeneye 007 like the Wii game. With the 'reloaded' tagged onto the end, and the new cover (although I REALLY like that cover), I feel like Activision's trying their hardest to milk the Goldeneye name even more. A lot of people are going to think this is something tied to the original IMO with changes like this to the Wii game and simply releasing it on other platforms a year later. Unless they plan to release that enhanced version of the N64 game then I hope like hell they drop the name Goldeneye from any future Bond game.

I would also have to think a lot of hardcore Nintendo fans are gonna pissed about this as they thought they had an exclusive.

October release?? Hmm clearly this game isn't a priority purchase unless it delivers something noticeably impressivwe otherwise, it's gonna get shafted by battlefield and cOd 3
