  I drew the Last Rat Standing poster (the Bond and Silva rats) free hand and then scanned the drawing into my Mac to ink and color it on GIMP, something I really enjoy doing. I will be doing a lot more of that mixed media style into the future, so stay tuned right here! ;)

  Yep, the gradient wave works a treat. It gives the text a bit more of a contrast/shadowy vibe, keeping in line with the b&w photo.

  I had great fun drawing and then scanning, inking and coloring my art piece "Last Rat Standing" a few weeks back, and decided to again hit the old pencil and paper and do a drawing of Dan as Bond. I knew I wanted to continue my past art style of mixing realism and cartooning at the same time, making it so that you could recognize it is Daniel being portrayed yet still give the overall piece some cartoonish flair. It took a while to get an idea of what I wanted to create and finish a rough sketch that I was proud of, but after I finished with the pencils, scanned the drawing onto my computer and began inking and coloring it in GIMP the fun really began. It is my vision of Bond (stubble included) while he is in Shanghai, dressed in his navy peacoat and armed with his PPK. I hope that with this piece I have managed to capture the essence of Dan as Bond, and I plan to draw the rest of the Bond actors as well, and give them each a unique touch that separates them from the rest.   Long story short, @NicNac reviewed QoS this week and compared Gregg Beam to a walrus. I then got artistic inspiration and ran with it.

  Haha, what's Beam reaching in his pocket for? His dental floss? ;) Well done on that Craig drawing, too. I used to draw a lot back in the day, before discovering photoshop. Good decision- picking up the pencil again for that one and 'last rat standing'!

  Thanks for the compliments on the Dan piece @QBranch. It was one I spent a while crafting but at the end of it all I am very satisfied with the final product.
  
  I enjoy doing hand drawn artwork that I then scan into my laptop to ink and color because I am not only getting back to drawing again, but am also exercising my technologically artistic side at the same time with GIMP. I have gotten a tad rusty on my pencils, but hopefully I can grow comfortable with it like I once was if I keep doing these kinds of projects more often.

  To those that frequently post here or that comment on my work in general like @Creasy47, @Murdock, @00Beast, @X3MSonicX, @QBranch, @Samuel001, @marketto007, @JWESTBROOK, @Master_Dahark, @thelivingroyale, @doubleoego, @BondWillReturn, @0013, @DarthDimi, @AgentJamesBond007, @4EverBonded, @Sandy, and @Tuulia (and any I may have missed), I require some assistance. If you would, I need some advice from those of you that know my work fairly well. My campus takes submission written pieces such as short stories and poems as well as artwork for compilation in a yearly award winning magazine, and I have been asked to consider submitting some art and seeing where it goes. Also, if any of my work does get submitted it will be a great honor and will look good in future résumés.
  
  So (all of you), I was wondering which pieces that I have done in the past have most sparked your fancy or that you simply think are good pieces overall and worthy of a submission? As for myself, I was thinking of submitting the recent Daniel Craig drawing I did located a few posts up, not only because I am just happy at how it turned out but also because it is recent and representative of my current talents as opposed to some of my earlier work. The deadline of sorts is on this coming Friday (as the term is nearly over) so any and all advice will be appreciated and duly taken into account.
  
  A good portion of my work is also located in my opening post to this thread, and my deviantart account also has a comprehensive amount of my work as well, and contains most of my newer work that is frequently updated as I finish each project. Here it is if any of you wish to take a look:

  IMO these stand out from the rest- plus last rat standing is one I would definitely consider submitting.

  I really, really, really appreciate all the feedback, everyone. The Last Rat Standing piece seems to be a popular one, I am happy to see. @X3MSonicX, that Batman piece was another I considered alongside my Dan drawing because I like my hand-drawn digital pieces since they start on paper and finish on the computer, combining two mediums. I may do a new version of the Batman piece as well, with the black cape and cowl instead of the blue. Keep posted here for updates, and for those that continue to give me feedback, thanks a million. :)
