Which is the most quotable Bond film?

To me, it's DAF, hands down. That film has a minimum of 15 lines that are absolute sparklers, maybe twice that many. I don't think any other Bond film can match it.

    I agree - DAF all the way - truly the wittiest film in the series, as much as I may dislike it.

    Goldfinger is the most quotable Bond film since it only created the Bond mania and Bond became the most bankable icon only after this film beautifully portrayed by Sean Connery. Unforgettable laser scene. Greatest punch line 'I expect you to die!'

    Yes, well that's probably more famous, I had forgotten about that, but then I'm not a great one for GF for some reason!

    May be for the technology development and graphics nowadays! But the formula of Bond and the pattern of a Bond Movie were established by Goldfinger only. Sean Connery made such an impression that the viewers don't take eyes out of him watching how he performs stylishly and tackles the situations not bothering about the visuals or the girls! Goldfinger remains the trendsetter for all Bond movies followed

    Well, I wouldn't really argue with that as it's all pretty much accepted wisdom on the James Bond phenomenon.

    SF is very quotable: "everybody needs a hobby", "someone usually dies", "the circle of life", "mother's calling", "what makes you think this is my first time?"...

    Then it sets DN as the most quotable. Other quotes in the movie may not be as famous, but I think they are among the best of the series.

    You Only Live Twice. Tanaka asks Connery/Bond 'How do you feel our Japanese Efficiency" after dropping the villainous sidekicks in a car releasing the magnet of the helicopter, in to the ocean. Bond quips "just a drop in the ocean". Commenting on the bare chest of Japanese Connery/Bond comments "birds do not build nest on bare trees"

    Thunderball. Connery/Bond after putting the dead lady on the chair, quips to the visitors in the restaurent ' she is dead tired'. You Only Live Twice. Bond on a plane, arms tied, asks the lady sidekick "what a nice girl like you doing in the plane/" When she says " I got you" Bond retarts " then enjoy yourself"

    But also lines like:
    - Why can't you just be a good boy and die.
    - My knee - aches! - every single day. (and so on)
    - I might as well ask you if all the wodka martinis ever silenced the screams of all the men you've killed...

    The list goes on.

    Congrats to the screenwriters for delivering such a quotable film. Infinitely quotable in fact.

    That film is loaded with gems. Connery's delivery in pretty much all his Bond films are damn near perfect but in TB, he was a beast. His dialogue exchanges with Largo, particularly at the casino and at Largo's mansion are stand out moments as well as Fiona's lines. It also helps that Fiona Volpe is the hottest and most sexually appealing Bond girl EVER.

    I'd say it's a tie between GOLDFINGER and DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER. I also find myself quoting MOONRAKER fairly often.
