Thanks Skyfall is also my favorite. :D
To me he's pretty much in proportion. What is this? A design school??
Just constructive criticism, my friend. No need to take it as anything else.
It's still a good poster, isn't it? There's nothing wrong with it. Rather point out the good things about it than the mistakes I made.
Did you notice the last part of my comment?
I'm looking forward to making some more like this, as I feel there's a lot that can be done by crossing Bond with noir, grindhouse, or even old school sci-fi perhaps. I would love to see other people's posters in this style *hint, hint* ;)
No sadly I have not. Though I will watch a playthrough of it so I can get an idea. :)
I've had a hankering for creating my own OHMSS poster for years and finally took the plunge after receiving a large plate full colour poster art book last Xmas - I've been meaning to post something since then to contribute and share the enthusiasm for 007 poster art yet only just signed up now - better late than never I guess?
It's probably due to being lost for hours viewing through all the previous posts here
rather than cracking open photoshop?
Anyhow. To my own personal homage to OHMSS:
The obligatory excuse if needed, is the rather ropey resolution of the original images I've managed to source for this - there aren't the massive files knocking around for OMHSS like any of the recent films!
I did have a play with a footer layered in showing Bond carrying the prone Contessa out of the sea in the black depth but preferred the gun barrel in the end for the overall simplicity and franchise links.
Does it do anything for anyone?
I intend mocking up more posters and all feedback (especially positive! B-) ) is always a good motivation! I realise it's a variation of the one I've shown above though I feel I may as well post the MKl version rather than just mention it:
Where can I get that Xenia poster??? Fantastic work.
