The name's 25. Bond 25, or rather, it's NTTD.

One word titles are almost always excellent. I still like the sound of 'Quarterdeck'

How awesome would it have been if 'Skyfall' had actually been 'Quarterdeck', and in the film, Bond decides to protect M in HER home in the middle of London when Silva attacks. It would have been very unique to see an attack right in the middle of London, with police showing up halfway through and Silva having to deal with them and Bond.

Yes, I can see now impractical it would be.

I still don't even see the point of this thread, as it's OBVIOUSLY going to be 'Wave Link.' C'mon, guys...

OK, here is my stab at the title AND a tagline:

    The Property of A Lady.
Only a few would live to know her name.
But she feared only one name: Bond.

    And okay 2 more ~

    Risico.
    Bond.
This time the world is at stake. And winner takes all.

    Shatterhand.
    Old evil ~ new name.
Only one man left. But his name is Bond.

From Bond and M's little exchange in TWINE:

    A Shadow Above
    Never A Shadow Above
    Shadows Are Never Above
    Shadows Never Stay Above

    Which one sounds the best?

I would just have A Whisper of Hate. It flows really well and it is very evocative.

For me, maybe: A Shadow Above

Also, I like one-word titles but that is harder to come by, I think.
They may go with something totally not from any story. Was Skyfall actually mentioned by name in Fleming's stories? (not afraid to show my ignorance, yet again)

No, it was not mentioned at all. A brand new title, that.

    Ah ha!
And I was thinking they (Bond Powers That Be) might want to follow up from the feeling, kind of ending that Skyfall had. Or not ...I know no matter what I guess, it would undoubtedly be something utterly different. A couple of more to toss in, for titles:

    Brave New World
    Echoes of Death

  • Brave New World might not be legally permissible, because of the Aldous Huxley book.

Yes you are right about Huxley; that slipped my mind.

Nope I can't come up with more. I may go back and read some of the novels to see if there is a Fleming phrase that sounds good.

Mostly, I like (been said many times by now, I know):

    Risico
    Shatterhand
    The Property of a Lady

  • Government Bonds

It's a play on words. You have the fact that Bond works for the government, but also the fact that the government issues "bonds" as a way to raise capital.

I've always liked Zero Minus Ten, ever since I came across the story in a magazine back in the 90s. I wish I could find it, as it included a half-page photo of a dapper Pierce Brosnan suited up against a colourful Hong Kong background. Anyway, the title goes back to Fleming, with one of MR's chapters titled 'Zero Minus'.

See, that's what I want to hear: more specific phrases or catchy sayings from Fleming. Interesting, @QBranch.

New World Order makes me think of: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tK8-ikRQcVc and Alex Jones, the first of which isn't always bad, but certainly not what I want in a Bond movie. The second is always bad.

Life Has No Tomorrow is admittedly catchy, but is coming straight out of Brosnan.

Government Bonds is pretty funny, but I'm not sure how a title with Bond in it would work out.

Zero Minus Ten or even Zero Minus both sound good. Mysterious and vaguely dangerous, although I don't know what it means or how they'd work it into the plot.

Some more ideas (just tossing stuff against the wall to see if any of it sticks):

    Do Unto Others
    Fire for Effect
    Any Other Way
    One Shot, One Kill
    Silent but Deadly

Title song performer decided too then :)

  • James Bond Vs Youtube
  • I prefer Risico. it sounds sleek fitting Mendes' style
My tagline: The world is a big gamble; Bond is the last card.
However, gambling theme is similar to Casino Royale.

    Another: Icebreaker
Tagline: His heart is cold; his will shatters. Bond.
and then we can have another skiing scene hehehe.

Last: The Property of a Lady
Tagline: Bond lures her scent, but never owns her heart
ughhh even though sounds erotic-novelish like 50 shades

this is really the last: Colonel Sun
tagline: Eyes light with hope as the world burns

P.S. I haven't read any bond novel or short stories; I just wiki-search the titles I'm a quite a new bond fan (less than a year old) and still trying to watch all the official movies.

    Bond Vs Facebook
    Touch Me in The Evening
    Mockingjay

I quite like that: 'Touch me in the Evening'. Not for a Bond title though but it's a nice movie or book title for a non Bond story. It reminds me of 'Tell Me on a Sunday'.

I'd like Bond 24 to be called 'Risico'. It's a cool sounding name.
