I took a college course with Danielle Fishel (who played Topanga in Boy Meets World) a few years back. Pales in comparison to RogueAgent's escapdes though :-(

Awesome! Boy Meets World is one of my favorite shows of all time, so I am considerably jealous of you. I bet your professor couldn't hold a light to Mr. Feeny, but really, who could? ;)

Now that I think about it, my professor did look a bit like Feeny, tweed jacket and all.

Many, many over the years but for this forum the only ones that count are George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dolton, Pierce Brosnan, Daniel Craig and Sean Connery while on the set of "Diamonds Are Forever".

Got me thinking this, SEEN lots of celebs but actually talked to VERY few! The only one's I have talked to are Naseem Hamed, great boxer who in my opinion did not fulfill his potential, and Sting who I met and talked to at the Skyfall New York premiere after party.

@RogueAgent, excellent pictures, thanks for sharing! Were you the one I spoke with a few months ago about seeing Will Yun Lee (looks like you didn't get to meet him) and you talked about the convention not being terribly great?

Yeah that's me Creasy47. I did get to meet him and get his autograph though. That's why I went with the amusing pic of me in the foreground. :)) The communication between staff was poor although the show was well organised. What happened was that the queue's were horrendous for photoshoot tickets. Will's was 40 mins away and after moving 5 yards in 30 mins we asked a staff member what could we do? He pointed to a separate desk that could assist us. We went over to be told your not an online booking or a refund so they could not help? So they lost out on money for sure.

Really?! She still looks very much like a young lady, which she is! It makes me wonder what was Valentin up to in that casino in 1999...was it legal?!... :-O

EDIT: I've just looked it up and she was 23 then, so it's OK and just makes Valentin a bit of a creep. ;)

Must admit I had to do a double take of her! :O She is stunning! As for Valentin? Good on him say! ;) :))

Amazing, absolutely amazing @RogueAgent, especially getting to hug all those Bond girls, jealous doesn't even begin to describe my feelings on seeing your incredible set of photos...I'm just glad you didn't get one with Denise Richards draped on your shoulder, that would of been too much for my own sense of self worth to handle! :)

It has been a lot of fun meeting all these wonderful people and to hear there stories about working on the movies. As for Denise Richards? I think you can sleep safely knowing that it's unlikely? But you never know? There is always hope and if she does I will let you know asap!

    :-bd

Fair play RogueAgent You have met a fair few. Can not believe you were at some of the same convensions I was at !! Probably in the same Q !!!
Not met as many, but some of the same ones as yourself.
Collectormania - Honnor Blackman and Robert Davi and autographica for George
Did you go to London to meet Q as I was at a book launch a few days before his death (God bless him).

There is a good chance of that my friend. The next show there is? We should try to arrange an MI6 get together? Would be great to meet fellow MI6ers in person! :-bd
Met Q at a Pinewood Christmas dinner way back in 1998! Only seems like yesterday though when i think of it!
  • I have shared this reminiscence elsewhere on this forum (under the "For Original Fans" topic thread) but it seems apropos to post it here as well. My brief moment with the one & only Miss Julie Newmar....

A few years back I was serving as showrunner at an event where Miss Newmar was scheduled to make an appearance. It became my honor to assist the immortal actress during the course of this event. She was giving autographs at a table in the Main Exhibit Hall and was scheduled to address an audience in an auditorium elsewhere in the same facility. Miss Newmar declined to be seen walking in the hallways among the hoi polloi, preferring instead to simply appear in the auditorium as if by Hollywood magic. As there was a doorway marked “No Admittance Except by Authorized Personnel” near her autograph table, connecting with a warren of backstage passageways that led to the auditorium in question, this task was easily accomplished. However, the dedicated actress was wearing a costume of sorts for her public appearance, including dark sunglasses and boots with stiletto heels. At her advancing age (which we are of course too polite to consciously consider), the prospect of this female icon tottering through the dimly lit backstage hallways alone was simply unthinkable. Thus it came to pass that yours truly was honored to escort Miss Newmar through the hidden passage to her scheduled appearance. Half-blinded by her sunglasses in the poor light, stepping carefully in her impractical heels, Miss Newmar kept her hand clasped tightly to my forearm for those all-too-brief moments we were alone together backstage. When we reached the panel room, everything unfolded as if Miss Newmar had dictated the script herself. The members of the panel preceeding hers left the stage promptly when their scheduled time ended. Before anyone in the audience was even aware of her presence, Miss Newmar strode confidently to the stage, mounted the table behind which the other guests had been sitting, and reclined languorously upon it. She looked as if she belonged nowhere else, and had simply appeared there by (yep!) Hollywood magic. I kissed her hand in a courtly gesture, introduced her to the awe-stricken audience, and left the auditorium to the sounds of Miss Newmar cooing seductively into the microphone.

Sounds like a story or a dream, but yes, it's true. I may not be rich or famous, but sometimes I do feel that I've led a charmed life...

As promised I met Michael Madsen and Shirley Eaton this past Saturday. Both were very cool to meet. Shirley Eaton noted that her favorite 2 bond movies are goldfinger(what a shocker) and From Russia With Love. Michael Madsen is like the epitome of cool and really is a nice guy. I told him in Donnie Brasco he stole the show from Al Pacino and Johnny Depp. He said I did didn't I we both shared a laugh.

I'm sure he is. He's done a lot of great films aside from that, I just wish he got more work these days.

Well talked to would be a bit of a stretch but I did manage a hello to William Shatner. I was completely star struck. He was cool though. I managed a thank you when I had my picture taken with him.

The evening one I went to last year, there was no opportunity to meet him afterwards sadly. However? I am hoping for better luck next time as I am going to an afternoon with Sir Roger Moore next month in Manchester! [-O<

I didn't really talk to him, per se, but I added Bruce Glover (Mr. Wint in DAF) are on Facebook, and asked him to leave me a comment on my page just so I could say I've communicated with him, and he did! Pretty cool.

@RogueAgent, I know he hosts some well-priced acting classes with a lot of really good deals and discounts. He also has his e-mail and phone number online to contact him about said classes. He seems like a great deal of fun, and a really cool guy.

Now that I've interacted with a few people from the Bond films, I really want to meet one. Like I said, I saw some Q&A thing with Pierce Brosnan in Texas at some point this summer, I believe, but I couldn't find much information on it, and I wasn't sure if it was a meet-and-greet type of thing. If I met Pierce, my life would be complete.

I won a series of the UK quiz show Countdown ten years ago so had several chats with Richard Whiteley (sadly his penultimate series) and Carol Vorderman, who was lovely. Have since met Rachel Riley at numerous related competitive events.

My first Countdown shows had Jimmy Carr as the special guest. It was around the time he was first gaining popularity but I confess I sat with him in the reception area for about 20 minutes when we first arrived at the same time and I had no idea who he was!

I'm jealous to hear that you hung out with Carr, @Tokoloshe. I'm an American so I suppose I don't know much about great UK comics, but I've seen some of his work and he is beyond raunchy and hilarious. I also love his subtle laugh, too, it's so catchy.

@Creasy, I wish I was tight with Pierce so that I could set up a meeting between you two. The look on your face alone would be well worth it.

I picture it happening like this:

Pierce [looking at Creasy's face]: "Is he having a stroke or something?"

Me: "No Pierce, he's just happy to see you."

Pierce: "Funny way of showing it, that."

    Creasy: "Avyhbbjhftewgxdxy....biubtftydcxrxwasuigyvrubygb..."

    ;)

*dances uncontrollably while drooling and seizing*

I actually told the girl that I'm with that if she ever found a way for me to meet Pierce for at least a few minutes to talk to him and shake his hand that I would marry her. No questions asked, as soon as I was comfortable in life and had the money, I would propose and marry that woman.

If such a happy event occurs, let us hope the nuptials go better than poor Bond's. I'd invest in a significantly bullet-proof mode of transportation if I were you. A tank, perhaps?

I think we'll wed in a panic room locked within ten separate high-security bank vaults that decrease in size (like those nesting dolls), and then we'll be sworn in by a blind, limbless, de-robed priest.
