    OK, I just solved the mystery. The actress is not called Rosie but plays Rosie in Coronation Street :P I say another rumour for the trash bin.

    So apparently Helen Flanagan (whom I have never heard of until now, but in the UK she is known I take it) likes to shed her clothes. Here is a picture of her, with a couple of tatoos showing (not a small one of Marilyn, is it?).

    I have no idea if she can act. Anybody guess? And Kate Upton I don't know about her acting either, but I have a bad feeling about her, unsure why. She's just a model.

    What do the guys think?

    She's a bit of a chameleon, which is good. Judging by some of those pictures, I think she'd make a fine femme fatale, who is not revealed as being one at first.

    I don't watch Coronation Street, so can't say if she's good or not. But I wouldn't read too much into these rumours.

    I hope not for either of them, actually. Just my offhand first gut feeling.
    But the Aussie, Rose - who is not rumored and is about 34 years old - looks smashing, I think, for a Bond girl.

    It's about time we get more models and who knows what else - singers, actresses - saying (or rather their PR person is saying) that they are "being considered" for the next Bond film. Crank up the PR now, it's close enough to the start of filming. We'll probably hearing a lot more soon.

    I wouldn't make anything of these rumours. this is like a Kim Kardashian or Paris hilton (but lot more Z-list) type of person being bought up for a role. This is something stirred by her own management to promote her upcoming topless calendar.

    She has large boobs though

    Shame. She's actually pretty enough; why does she have to take her clothes off so often? Oh never mind. Silly question.

    Anyway, I think we will have more and more of these false "tidbits and rumors" soon.

    Yes, Rose Byrne was <a href="http://www.mi6-hq.com/news/index.php?itemid=3234&catid=2">rumoured to play Vesper</a> back in 2006. I think she still has a chance as Bond girl, and would be happy to see that happen.

    Oh yes, Rose Byrne is a fine actress, much more in line with the current standard in Bond girl acting chops.

    She looks like a convincing ally agent, she's not painful to look at as well.

    she gives off a Domino vibe. I highly doubt she could do a Severine-like seductress though.

    Helen Flanagan won't be in a Bond film. She's one of those celebs who are only famous for popping up in the tabloids, like those twats from Essex or Katie Price. She is very fit though, brilliant pair of tits.

    Rose Byrne would be fantastic as a Bond girl. She could have made a good Vesper, however Eva Green nailed that part. Eva was perfectly enigmatic and alluring.

    Rose would be great in Bond 24. She's a bit pigeoned-holed at the moment doing comedy and family stuff so I hope she can seen as a leading lady again. She could actually have made a good Eve Moneypenny in SF.

    I don't think we've even mentioned casting is not likely to begin for another few months, yet. As for Rose Byrne, if Daniel has mentioned he'd like to work with her - maybe he was impressed with Casino Royale test - who knows what will happen. Byrne has a higher profile now too, that may help.

    @Pierce2Daniel, I wouldn't say she's pigeon-holed with comedy and family stuff, unless you consider 'Insidious' and 'Insidious Chapter Two' the latter category. I think she would make a fantastic Bond girl.

    Ah Helen, indeed one of the tabloids' favourites. I think, in fact, she is probably a fine actress - but nothing remotely special. And on a personal level, she does seem really nice.

    But I can't see her doing much more of a cameo than Richard Branson in CR.

    Penelope Cruz
    Helen Flanagan

    I read about these latest rumors after @JB007_news tweeted it at 6:00am US EST this morning. They're pretty quick with Bond news, so I would follow them if you Tweet. I only didn't post due to 12 straight hours of work.


    Also, I'd like to applaud us all for keeping a minor story like this in one of the large threads, instead of starting a new one that would only last 50 posts and die off.. that's precisely why I figured this discussion would be a good one. Keep the small talks together, and chronological.

    That's how Olivia Wild got her part in Cowboys and Aliens. DC remembered her from a screen test and recommended her. It's very possible that would happen again

    Haha! Any article with 'Helen Flanagan' and 'Bond Girl' in the text just makes the article a joke! And when I saw it was The Sun who came out with it, it all made sense! I've actually had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting her a few times - she's an idiot! And you only have to watch 'I'm a Celeb' to know that!

    I admire Kate Upton's bod, but I don't want Christmas Jones smut part 2. Penelope is vivacious and sexy in POC: Stranger's Tides, and she her age matches well with Craig's. Yet, Mendes' Bond movies need a "darker" seductress which she can pull off, I guess. Another problem is that Penelope is arguably a household name in Hollywood.

    Have to say i have been laughing at the Helen Flanagoan posts, and i fully agree agree with all of them! :)) I too read about it in the Sun red top surprise surprise!!! Immediately dismissed it out of hand as rubbish.

    If their is any fact to it and heaven forbid she landed a part? I think it would be a tiny cameo like Rachel Grants "Peaceful Fountains of Desire" from DAD. Nothing more! [-(

    Indeed, that was the first thing I noticed. Seriously. Her face was after all at the top of the picture.

    Otherwise, Rog and I are busy discussing who first gets lost in Titland, where I'm told the beach shot was taken 8-}
