That is just brilliant! :))
And like I said when that picture was first posted: Craig looks like he belongs in that uniform, but Q just looks f*cked up.
My ranking, currently:
1) ST
2) ID
3) TMP
4) FC
5) G
6) TWOK
7) TUC
8) TSFS
9) TVH
10) I
11) N
12) TFF
It's the third, maybe second, of the best of the movie releases with the original cast, but The Wrath of Khan can't be beaten, but Ricardo Montalban stole the show that year
That worked quite well with the plot of Wrath of Khan through The Voyage Home.
1) TMP/TUC (tie)
2) TWOK/TVH (tie)
3) TSFS
4) FC
5) I
6) TFF
7) nothing after that interests me
#1 The Wrath of Khan
#2 The Motion Picture
#3 The Undiscovered Country
#4 The Search for Spock

#6 The Final Frontier
#7 First Contact
#8 The Voyage Home
1. The Wrath of Khan
2. Into Darkness
3. The Search For Spock
4. The Undiscovered Country
5. Star Trek 2009
6. The Voyage Home
7. The Motion Picture
8. The Final Frontier
Next Gen
9. First Contact
10. Nemesis
11.Insurrection
12.Generations
I would have at least stuffed Generations above Insurrection.
I hate Generations. It destroyed everything ST VI tried to accomplish and It gets negative points for Killing off Kirk in the most silly way possible. It's the DAD of Star Trek movies.
Yeah but Voyage Home was deliberately made to be a light hearted film. Generations just takes a dump on TOS and Star Trek as a whole, then adds this stupid complicated plot that goes nowhere. Generations is the worst ST movie ever made IMO.
Total agreement here.
I would leave that label for Shatners movie.
The Voyage Home is both funny and brilliantly in the CGI/effects departement, the story is great Star Trek and it is just great with the TOS crew out of their comfortzone. It is not the greatest dramatic story but after Khan & Search it was an excellent choice to do.
True. Watch the first two seasons and continue on with I said. :))
Someone mentioned that The Voyage Home was a poor release, and have to go along with that as always. Seems as far detached from Star Trek as possible, as the Enterprise crew appear in a disastrous 'humor' appearance scattered around San Francisco on an effort to 'save whales'
Nimoy wanted a fun approach after the seriousness of what came before, and while something of a favorite release with some, I can't see beyond it's the black mark of the movie series. At least things improved and got back on track with the next release The Final Frontier, and this time Shatner took over in the directors chair from Nimoy's ill-advised attempt, although he did do well for 1984's The Search for Spock
The whole Star Trek industry can be a little intimidating for some with all the series, and film releases and everything it entails - I even get lost myself as a fan of it all, but then again, lost interest by the time of Deep Space Nine although The Next Generation was good, but it can never beat the original crew and episodes / movie titles
