There is a thread about the most average Bond film, there is also a thread about best Bond film by the element. So I thought about finding what or who is the most average Bond girl, Bond villain, gadget, plot, henchman, ally, etc. The ones that are neither good nor bad.

Bond gadget- Gold sovereigns from FRWL
Plot- Octopussy
Henchman- Kamal Khan
Ally- Wai Lin

Elektra is the villain not the Bond girl.
Goldfinger is one of the best villains.
Gold sovereigns aren't a gadget - they are just inert pieces of gold stored inside a gadget.
Octopussy's plot once the action moves to Germany is inspired.
Gobinda is the henchman not Kamal.
Wai Lin is the Bond girl. The ally in this film would be Jack Wade.
I'll give you GE as an average song.
NSNA titles are far from average - they're bloody awful in fact.

Well, Elektra is a villain and a Bond girl. And she is pretty average as both.
Certainly it's good, but not near as good as everyone try to make it out to be. It's just...average.
It's one of the best songs of all time imo. Definitely one of the best rock songs, and my favourite Bond theme. What exactly is it that you find average about it?

It is not my favourite, but it is certainly among the best ones. Maybe not as good as people think it is, but that would make it overrated, not average per se.
